browser & I heard there's an ad blocker on it..

I can't find it tho, where is it?

I use FF on kid's pc in the other room~I use Safari in the mac (Safari is available for PC but don't care for it). Both have adblocker plugins that just lay waste to ads on these forum sites. I am surprised how much advertisement there is when I'm on a computer without adblockers.

I'm more surprised about people still using IE . I've tried Opera several times, even downloaded the latest last weekend, but for some reason it just doesn't click for me. There are a lot of Opera fanbois out there though that speak highly of it, so about every 6 months I give it another shot but never clicks.

Google's new browser Chrome is available for PC~I've tried it out but no great shakes, though I do like a lot of Google's other features. I use Picasa for online photo storing (no charge) and Google Documents for most of my word processing needs. One of the things I'm not a fan of is apple's "Pages" word processing program. Being used to Office I find Pages generally sucks. I know Office is available now for mac but Google Documents works great and costs nothing and is available anywhere I can access a computer online.

so far it works

it's telling me to get onto a filter list they offer???
then give 5 sites you can subscribe with?

Does anybody do that?

for me either.

be way outdoing it, and it's definitely SLOWER than the
2.
I never tried Safari.

I'm using FF right now on the mac to post this~I'm not familiar with the filter list thing, but the adblock is enabled and the site is ad free. All I've ever done is enable the plugin and it works. Someone smarter about these things will be along shortly I bet...

I would also recommend the following freeware anti-spyware programs: Spybot - Search & Destroy (mainly I just use the scanner and the Immunize feature), and SpywareBlaster (this one has no scanner and is purely preventive).

Yeah, I just use Easylist because it's a US server. Click the button to select it, and you're done.

Ok, I did it - it was the only one listed for the US.

so far it works AWESOME!!

Ya, I went & got adware/spyware stuff about 2 wks ago after your earlier
info. on those
& now I got the adblocker.

My subscription here ends today so I wanted to make sure I was all
set up before the ads kick in lol

& I'll go back & look at the Filterset G thing. I didn't see that.
