Well done. Nice job with the frames too.

Thank you, the frames were a challenge, as they usually are. The side going to the ear had to be redrawn many times, which is another reason I prefer digital! I am not precise enough for traditional.

When in doubt; always, always, turn your eyes to the Lord.

The sketch depicts one of the seraphim pointing a person in heaven to the throne.
Often I myself forget to ask my Jesus for help some times; you have to remember the seraphim and their never ending prayers, I rarely even grace a pack of crackers, but I'd think it wouldn't be a wasted effort to bring people's focus back to Jesus in these trying times, especially our children...

That is great! I have never tried sculpture. How hard was it to work with? And with such good results, why not try again?

Terra cotta is a very good sculpting clay. It just has to be kept moist while working on it, especially if what one is doing takes more than a day.

I used my hand as the model. Sculpting is good for learning form.

I guess i have been so involved in learning drawing and painting that just never took time away from that to really try any more sculpture pieces.

Being that i am older i feel more of a time constriction and want to narrow down areas of focus.

I would love to do many areas in art wood carving, more sculpture, wood sculpture, etc.. but it really does take time. I also did a few of these wooden icosahedron's but that was another area i just could not find time to add in with other interest.

I also have made these large wooden puzzles

Especially when i am teaching and now also looking after my 92 (will be 93 in 2 weeks). So now my art production is really at a minimum now. Some drawing and a few watercolors i am able to to at home. usually after mom goes to bed.

That makes perfect sense, and is part of the reason I have not ventured into other mediums as well.

I like the woodwork too.

That is the madding part of art, all of the paintings, drawings, and other art works that will never be given life. That an artist gets ideas for, just not enough time.
