Several earthquakes have struck near south Sumatra of the 5.0 and 5.1 magnitude range today- making a tense situation on the volcanically-dotted archipelago potentially even more volatile. The Anak Krakatau volcano is showing signs of increased seismic activity. Authorities fear the volcano is building towards an eruption that could dwarf the one which occurred in 2007.

Thousands of dead birds have flooded the shores of Georgian Bay in a scene that locals compared to the devastation from an oil spill.
Dead loons, ducks and seagulls covered “every foot” of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park’s shorelines on Saturday, said local Faye Ego, who walks her dog there daily.
“It’s like when you see the oil slicks,” Ego said. “It turns your stomach. It’s awful.”
Between 5,000 and 6,000 dead waterfowl are scattered along a 3-kilometre stretch near Wasaga Beach, said Ontario Provincial Police Const. Peter Leon.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issued a Public Notice on June 9, 2011 that its first ever nationwide diagnostic test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) would occur on November 9.

I have to ask “What happens when millions of drivers all take their eyes off the road at the same time to reach down to check why their radio just went out?” Over the 15-year lifespan of EAS, Americans have become familiarized with the beep-beep-beep of the emergency broadcast warning. The FCC doesn’t need to know if John Q. Public can hear the nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System. Their test is merely a housekeeping initiative of their own broadcasters. So why not test at 4 a.m. rather than during daytime business hours?

The Dec 21, 2012 date is referring to a massive galactic event called the Procession of the Equinox. Where the Sun will line up directly with the center of the Milky way galaxy at exactly 11:11am on Dec 21, 2011.
The precession of the equinoxes refers to the precession of Earth's axis of rotation with respect to inertial space. Hipparchus discovered that the positions of the equinoxes move westward along the ecliptic compared to the fixed stars on the celestial sphere. The exact dates of his life are not known, but astronomical observations attributed to him date from 147 BC to 127 BC and were described in his publications. He is considered the greatest astronomical observer, and perhaps, the greatest overall astronomer of antiquity.
According to modern day researchers, the Long Count calendar system was established by the Maya in ancient times to forecast or mark out the very transition points between world ages.
NASA issued a 2012 solar storm warning telling the public to get ready for a once time in a lifetime Solar Storm. What NASA did not tell you that our sun is entering into a interstellar energy cloud which is also turbulent which will cause the sun’s solar maximum in 2012 to become violent, which results in the Carrington Effect that knocks out power and communications worldwide. Thus we will lose running water and our food supply will become crippled and the banking system will be locked down.

The United States and Israel next year will hold the largest ever joint military exercise and will simulate and test Israel’s missile defense system....approximately 5,000 American and Israeli forces will participate in the exercise....the U.S.-European Command’s Austere Challenge exercise next year will be “by far the largest and the most significant exercise in US-Israeli history."

Astronomers are tracking the course of a giant storm from its emergence as a tiny spot in a single image almost one year ago, on Dec. 5, 2010. By late January of this year, it had completely encircled the planet. The storm, which now measures approximately 9,000 miles, is the biggest one to hit Saturn in the last couple of decades. The 200 days of its active period also break a record set in 1903 for the longest-lasting planet-encircling storm on the planet. That storm lasted for 150 days.
