I'm not here to complain .... BUT .... I recently joined these forums (I'm 30) and when I read the 30's Area it sounds like a bunch of old folks!!!

Your 30's can be the very best years of your life .... WOW mine are!!!

Lets talk about how great things are, and lets list all the POSITIVE things about being 30:

BEING 30 Means:

Lets hear from you!!!!

Being in your 30's means, you are more secure with yourself and you have figured out what is really important in life. Your more laid back and comfy with life.

You look at the 20-somethings and laugh at the silly things that they stress over. ^_^

I have to admit that my 30's have been the most wonderful part of my life so far and I'm really excited to see what the 40's have to offer!

I'm happier now than I've ever been before in my life. I wouldn't go back if I could. I love my thirties. But I love my thirties because I'm more settled now, and because I have peace and security in my life that I've never had before, and because I don't push myself to take on more than I can handle. I've found that happiness and peace are far better for me than excitement. I'm sorry if that makes me sound old, but I'm so happy and content that I wouldn't change even if I could.

Well, I'd like to tell all you young whipper snappers out there what's so great about the thirties. I'll do that as soon as I get back from the early bird special at the buffet.

Now, where'd I put my bifocals?...........;)

I don't feel much different inching into my 30s than I did inching into my 20s.

I'm more confident now, and I have stronger opinions and convictions on things. I know what I like, and I know what I don't.

Being a "grown up" doesn't intimidate me anymore. Although I'm still pretty childish most of the time, lol.

Did you survive the official birthday OK?? :)

I have always looked at getting older like I'm a fine wine....I just get better with age. :D

I actaully had a hard week. It wasn't until about 6 days after my birthday that I stopped thinking about my age so much. I still feel like I'm in my early 20's. I have a lot of people tell me I look younger too so sometimes I actually forget my age myself. :D
I just registered my middle son for kindergarten today. The last time I did that was when I was 22/23 years old. My oldest is 12. I was thinking how young I was last time I was doing this and I had to think about how old I was this time.
I definitly feel better then I did last week. I can't do anything about my age, but I can do somthing about my health, how I act and the way I look. I guess in that aspect I can control it. :amen:

You're an absolutely GORGEOUS girl. Trust me, there are 20-somethings that would pay big bucks to be as pretty as you are.

You wear 30 really well, girlie. LOL, we should all be so lucky. :swoon:

Fantastic attitude! I agree that we can't fight growing older, but we certainly can do our best to NOT look/feel our age by taking care of ourselves.

Thats all we can do, which actaully is alot. I've met people that have abused their bodies in unimaginable ways and are still young in age but not in body and mind. Its important to treat ourselves the best we can. :pink:

I love my age! I have to stop and think sometimes, wait you are not 20 something, put that shirt back. Being 31 is just a number. I feel My journey has just started, and I am loving every day of it. To walk with more confidence and not worry what others think so much, I think comes with being in your thirties. I have to remind myself I am an Adult. So maybe maturity will come later!!
