Cognitive dissonance is created when the other party simply negates your most fundamental position, as if there is a right to do this before related beliefs are considered.

If you reject that someone has a right to question your most fundamental belief, before related beliefs are questioned, no cognitive dissonance is possible.

Once I learned this, I never thought twice about ignoring most of what atheists say.

Please enlighten me as to how you separate the creator of the universe, who you believe is a loving god, from yahweh? Is your position not made up?

I do not posit that the creator of the universe is a loving god. I explicitly stated in a prior post that I find that unlikely.

Well, its just a fact, if you are questioning the thing that is most fundamental to me, without questioning any of the related facts that grow out of it first, you aren't interested in me, you aren't even interested in what you think about me, all you are interested in is what you can get out of me.

Well, that isn't who you think it is, if you are a fool, it's the Devil, and the Devil knows, he doesn't deserve any more time than he gets.
