I love the smell and taste of different flavored coffees, but I can no longer drink it
It is too acidic and causes major acid refluxe

But hubby gets whole beans (8 O'clock) and grinds it fresh ~ plain with milk...no flavors for him

ETA: I prefer teas, but only when out to dinner, after being outside in winter

Like the smell but don't drink it. Hubby does but he drinks decaf only. Every once in a while if we have french vanilla Coffee Mate, then I'll drink a cup or two of coffee.

I'm more of a tea fan.

And if at a restaurant for lunch/dinner/supper, I'll just drink water or soda if they have a kind worth it (I'm not a soda person), like root beer. Or I'll drink hot chocolate if it's really cold outside. At home I just drink water.

I go for the good stuff, usually coffees rated 95+ at coffeereview.com. My favorites are top grade Kona and Kenyan coffees. I buy beans and grind before brewing, and I never use additives of any type.

but mostly I buy Folgers French Roast or Columbian

Usually Folgers Breakfast Blend, with 1% milk and two teaspoons of sugar. It's also weak, as I adhere to one leveled-off scoop from a shallow scoop to 4 cups of water (although if I'm using a stronger roast or different brand I have to adjust this accordingly).

I love coffee! I usually go for plain black coffee at home LOL but whenever I go out for some then I definitely go for cappuccino or latte... I know, lots of fat and whatnot but it's good! When it comes to brands, well I think of our local brands Robert's does the best job, but Wayne's and Coffeehouse are nearly as good and cheaper. I have to say I'm just a little jealous at you Americans for Starbucks. They have such a huge variety of crazy random stuff, and we'd need it but NO. No one can be bothered with bringing it here. Boo.

I buy my coffee from the All-Merciful Saviour Monastery on Vashon Island in Washington state. They make their own coffee as a way of supporting themselves and were sued by Starbucks for usage of the name "Christmas Blend"... and won! Great coffee

I'm guessing that if coffee (or black tea for that matter) didn't have caffeine in it - not many people would drink it. Black, it's foul tasting.

I drink it(life habit), though have cut down enormously. Now it's 1 or 2 cups a day - which I'd like to get to 0 cups.

I figure that if I need caffeine for motivation/energy - then there is something wrong with my intake of water/diet or my lifestyle(have I got sedintary, without enough cardiovascular exercise and oxygen?). People drink caffeinated drinks after meals (esp heavy meat meals) without thinking about it but it's a habit born of the need to battle fatigue (because meat and big meals take alot of energy to digest).

Besides, it dehydrates you and robs you of precious B vitamins as well. Even without sugar added.

Interesting fact: Some plants (like the coffee bean) produce caffeine to ward off insects from eating the plant - because caffeine is a natural insecticide.

Yep, have had my foul tasting cup for the day and am feeling free to poo on coffee.

What type of coffee do you like? I have a senseo & a keurig. My favorite for the senseo is a breakfast blend that Target sold - but they discontinued it! (that was a sad day). My keurig is fairly new so I don't have a favorite yet. I tend to like Kona blends though.
