He did? Is this why He went and cleaned the temple was to keep up with the custom of the buying and selling? No, Jesus did everything according to the law and custom. What He criticized was the Pharisitic attitude they had. They were doing things wrong, He did it right. It wasn't that He went against everything..
He would give His mother in care of one of His true brothers and sisters which was not the case at this time for they did not believe in Him as the Messiah.. This is what Jesus said when They said that His mother and brothers were outside waiting to talk to Him.. He said who are my mother and my brothers? For He was not of this world but of the Heavenly kingdom and those whom do the will of the Father are His true brothers and sisters.. Which we can see they did come to knowledge and belief in Him at a later date for we have the book of James and Jude.

They thought Him mad at one point in scripture..So are you saying His mother did not believe He was the Messiah?
They thought Him mad at one point in scripture..
James came in after the death of Christ. He didn't believe in His brother at first.. Jesus gave Mary to His most beloved Disciple to care for.. John is the one whom outlived all the other Apostles and disciples. John is the one whom Christ revealed what was to happen at the end..What is your point? Was James not a Christian, just like John? Both did the will of Christ, one (in your opinion) was His Christian brother and His biological brother; the other, His Christian brother only. Why would He leave His mother in the care of His Christian brother, when James (in your opinion) fulfilled both requirements of "brother"?

Yes it is all over in scripture. It is even prophesied about in Psalms.. His brothers and sisters are talked about in the NT. It is when someone is trying to hold up a belief that scripture doesn't back that they need to change the words to fit the belief..Fact is, no where in Scripture does it say anything about Mary haveing any children besides Jesus. Nope, not in there. This belief is not sola scriptura.

Their mistaken belief doesn't make their sacrifice any less. This is simply untrue and based solely on your passionate interpretation, IAA. True knowledge does not come from study, but from struggle (deny self, pick up cross, follow Him), much prayer, fasting, praxis, Virtue. You should pick up a book on the lives of the Christian men and women who lived over the past 2000 years, suffered for the Faith, and even went to their death for Christ. Their lives are an example to all of us. Not one of them believes in this particular interpretation of yours concerning Christ's brothers. Not one.

Prayer is simply talking to my Father.. Christ in me gives me the power to become the son or daughter in my case of God. For what I could not do on my own Christ power and presence in my life and a new birth gives me the grace to obey what God would ask of me. The more I submit to God the more the enemy flee's from me.. Yes there have been many killed for the Gospel..What does this have to do with what we are discussing?Originally Posted by Asinner

I doubt they went to their deaths because of Jesus' siblings. And I certainly hope you don't believe that either. They sacrificed for a mistaken belief and yet, that's ok?It is sad that many today who claim to be Christian, no nothing of their brothers and sisters who came before them.
