I'm certainly not taking his word for anything. But, at least in this situation, there doesn't seem to be any evidence of wrongdoing on his part either.

I'd think it'd be best to check the accuracy for yourself rather than assume one way or the other, but that's me.

What difference would that make? If Clinton were to be tried for having sex with a minor, his testimony wouldn't be required and cannot be compelled (per the 5th Amendment); so whether or not he'd be likely to commit perjury would be entirely irrelevant. If prosecutors don't have sufficient evidence of a crime BEFORE indicting a defendant, there is no case.
