Take a look at the documentary The War on Humans that ‘documents the decline of the environmental movement toward a Utopian and explicit anti-human ideology’.
So, I watched the complete video and all I can say is that is so wrong on so many levels. There is no war on Humans by the environmental movement. If anything there IS a war on exploitative anthropocentrism with the goal of replacing that with participative biocentrism. And what's at stake? The human race! I'd think that's something to get VERY radical about. As with any home, what we do to the planet, we are doing to ourselves.

Tell me how this quote from Thomas Berry in The_Dream_of_the_Earth is anything close to a war on Humans: "Any progress of the human at the expense of the larger life community must ultimately lead to a diminishment of human life itself. A degraded habitat will produce degraded humans. An enhanced habitat supports an elevated mode of human. This is evident not only in economic order, but also throughout the entire range of human affairs."

Is there even any way to combat this? How do you even convince billions of people to stop using so much electricity and gas?

They might not have to if we could switch to renewable sources of power. Seems pretty common sense to do so but the big obstacle appears to be the oil industry and it's hundreds of billions (with a b) dollars in profit. Their political lobbies are highly influential and they don't like the idea of looking at alternatives.

It is true that God wants us to take care of our world:

“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number, fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’” Genesis 1:28.

But you people are spending a lot of time and energy in worry:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

Furthermore, God has established all authority on earth. So let them worry about it:

“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.” Romans 13:1.

Now I suppose you can cast your vote reflecting your beliefs when that time comes. But all this concern about the world by watching and feeding on the news is pointless and harmful. You set yourself up for fear, hatred, and anxiety by consuming this kind of garbage. The only thing you need to worry about are making godly decisions in your everyday life. Stop trying to control the world. That’s the Lord’s job.

Stop trying to control the world. That’s the Lord’s job.
This exactly why the concern. In our raping and desecrating the earth in our attempt to control it and make it into our image we fail in letting the Lord do His job of creating a vibrant and healthy earth.

As the obscure Maury Laws song goes:

"You wish and I'll whittle
You drip while I dry
Let's all try to help a little 'cause
Even a miracle needs a hand"

I know ignorance is bliss, but willful ignorance is foolishness.

I understand the sentiments, but it does not change the fact where there has been extensive ecological damage done to both humans AND animals when it comes to not seeing how to actually seeing how much is done in the name of environmentalism that both perverts true stewardship of the ennvironment - and obscures how much of a class battle it is.

Several have already spoken on this issue before when it comes to what's known as Environmental Apartheid - where you clean up in one place but you end up destroying others and only having things "clean" for those with power. Van Jones noted it best in the following:

Eco-Imperialism is a REAL issue and there's no way to avoid the way this has actually played out...as it concerns Western governments, the United Nations, environmentalist groups and various non-governmental organizations that are usurping economic and industrial progress in the Third World and keeping millions in the grip of misery and death all in the name of ecology protection and "sustainable development."

And before going further, no - plenty of people are for environmental stewardship of the environment while also recognizing how much of an issue it is politically when it comes to de-empowering other groups (especially Indigenous peoples in communities or areas) from actually having a say or a voice for how the process plays out. That is - and will ALWAYS be - an issue, especially when people saying how the environment should be handled get ignored if they feel you don't need extensive government intervention to do so. I've spoken about this before previously, as seen here:

That is one way to see Life, or the days we are alloted.

But I think there is a greater purpose.

In and with laser technology, one tool Company had in thier adverts.
"Make your mark without making a mark."

But I would think the purpose is to make a mark, not a mark that dissapears when the laser is switched off.
To be remembered for something good, not bad.
It is our job and responsibility to not only take care but also to elevate this djungel into a dwelling place fit for the king when He comes.

Somewhere it says, "Well done......."
Don,t know where, just something that flew into my head.

As with any home, what we do to the planet, we are doing to ourselves.
How one treats the world is just as important as any claim that we should take care of the planet - and this is something that has been brought up before when it comes to addressing how much is done in the name of environmentalism that has little to do with the environment and everything to do with the profit coming from it. One's eschatology will make a difference on that - and as said before, I have already shared on that issue before ...as seen here:

"Radical" environmentalism is needed when the climate is radically changing... Cut back on fossil fuels.. Go solar ...

Not all things done in the name of "radical" are actually different from the same things we've normalized and that have caused destruction. How one goes about the process makes a world of difference as well. Native Americans have long been speaking out on the issues for some time (more here, here, here, ).

I have always been amazed at the many finding ways to take things as crucial as trees and make them a priority when it comes to the buildings we have.

What follows are 11+ Clever Buildings Whose Architects Refused To Cut Down Local Trees in light of how Deforestation has a significant environmental impact. Many studies suggest that is a contributor to global warming; it impacts the water cycle by reducing the amount of...

I am of the belief that it will be far easier to sell conservatives on a plan to turn deserts green as an opening gambit toward stabilization of the climate than it will be to convince them of the value of a carbon tax of some type.

Most of us conservatives are terribly unaware of why we have not yet experienced a significant rise in ocean levels in spite of all the melting that has taken place on the land based Greenland Ice Pack as well as the world's glaciers.

It is because of the huge amount of ice being added to the central region of Antarctica.

A New Mexico biology teacher and coach has an explanation that conservatives will be able to understand because it fits with Isaiah chapter 35.

..........Carl Cantrell.

"So how is our problem of continental drying causing global warming? It all has to do with vegetation and sunlight. When sun light hits a plant, it causes a process which we call photosynthesis where the energy from the sun light creates oxygen for us to breathe, water for us to drink, and is stored as sugar for plants and animals to use. When the same sun light hits the soil, all of its energy turns into heat and is radiated back into the atmosphere.. ."

"Therefore, the less vegetation you have on the planet, the more sunlight is being turned into heat and the warmer the planet becomes...."

"Just take a look at any satellite picture of the earth showing heat and you will see that our deserts are the warmest spots on the planet by far. More heat is being generated by just one of the top four or five deserts than by all of our cities combined.... "

"The truth is that you can do more to decrease global warming by just reducing the average temperature for the SaharaDesert by one or two degrees than if we humans completely quit using fossil fuels and returned to the cave…."

"So, how would you start working to resolve this problem? Easy, cool the deserts and get some vegetation growing on them as soon as possible. But the method is much more complex than that. You have to use the prevailing trade winds in relation to the deserts to get the best results as quickly as possible and it will be extremely expensive…."

"Then we build desalination plants along the coast near these water sheds and pipe water to the tops or ridges of the water sheds…"

"We need to start working on this as soon as possible because, if the planet reaches a point to where it is warming faster than our technology can possibly stop or reverse this warming trend, then our planet is lost and all life will cease to exist on this planet within a relatively short period of time. We will need to start with the largest and hottest deserts because cooling them will have the greatest benefit in the least time (Global Warming II by biologist Carl Cantrell)."

Evironmental politics are at their worst when they rely on poor people continuing to live miserably.

The first world is like a glutton who realizes that if everybody else treats the larder the same way they do, food will be depleted before they can burp - and then go on to tell the peasants that they ought to tighten their belts a few notches, while the fat guys continue to overeat.

People cite the high costs of combating pollution as a reason for abstaining from doing anything - but the long-term effects of pollution will cost us infinitely more, even if we only look at the factor of money.
Long after it became clear what a disastrous course we're maintaining, car companies invested billions in marketing to convince urban dwellers that what they needed most in their life was freaking SUVs, guzzling even more gas than ever before. So now overweight moms cruise down to the mall in hulking offroaders, wasting more non-regenerative resources than ever before.

Regarding increasing ice in Antarctica:

My apologies if this statistic is not up to date......

http://www.habtheory.com/1/101.php

"At a symposium of the Union of Geodesy and geophysics, Dr. Pyyotor Shoumsky reported that the south polar ice cap was growing at a minimum rate of 293 cubic miles of ice annually. To put that number in perspective, Lake Erie contains only 109 cubic miles of water. Thus, a volume of ice forms on top of the existing ice at Antarctica each year which is almost three times the volume of water in Lake Erie!"

My belief is that the threat of rising ocean levels is far far far far more serious a problem than we are being told and one of the only responses is to invest heavily in projects like the Sahara Forest Project or the Sahara Solar Breeder Project.

There are two exceptionally good images at this link that show that because the W. A. I. S. is below sea level it could crack and slide and collapse rapidly.

I agree........... The Prophecy of the coming of the Rainbow Warriors could fit perfectly with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit predicted in the Christian and Jewish scriptures.

Which seems to fit well with what was shown to near death experiencer Howard Storm about the world economy two or three centuries in the future.
