Now I am beginning to see the problem. Go back and read what I wrote again because when you read it you got it all twisted up and did not understand what you were reading. When I became a Christian I had been looking & looking & looking for answers and solutions. I was in a lot of pain at the time. Someone said try God, try the Bible. I had tried everything else and NOTHING else was giving me answers and solutions. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain if finally I had found what I was looking for. As it turns out the Bible does work. Do what the Bible says to do and you will get the results that the Bible says you will get. Other people have the same testimony and they say the same things. Even there are people not able to get the Bible to work for them in their life, I still get the results I am looking for. So I am going to continue to do what I know works for me. As I am sure you will continue to do what you know works for you.
I see, if it ain't broke don't fix it, it works for you so good luck, had you tried Islam perhaps that might have worked as well.

I have read some of the Koran. All community fellowships are for the most part healthy. It is those who isolate themselves that you have to worry about. The extremists tend to use the people that want to die to further their cause through violence. I tend toward non violence. Unless I am directly protect my family.

"The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers for the sake of Islamic rule. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter"

Lots of verses in the bible about killing nonbelievers too. Those Abrahamic religions love killing the nonbelievers. Or people whose land they want to steal.

This is dreadful stuff. Either the people who appear on it are completely ignorant of cosmology, or they are deliberately attacking straw-men.

It would take hours to correct all the errors, but I will try two. First, the Big Bang was not an explosion in any sense of the word. Second, the second law of thermodynamics does not necessarily imply that the universe began in a highly ordered (low-entropy) state and has become more disordered since. One hypothesis is that in the beginning the universe had the maximum possible entropy for its size, but the maximum entropy has increased as the universe expanded, thus allowing the total entropy of the universe to increase continuously from its original high-entropy state.
As long as you understand that cosmic evolution entails about seven different sub-evolutions (planetary, chemical, biological, etc.), I'm happy.

Not for Christians today. The verses that have to do with war has to do with Israel as a nation. Nations fight wars, not churches or religions. From what I understand Israel as a nation today is still ready to defend themselves. I refused to participate in Vietnam so I know where I stand on this issue. We are to love our enemy and return good for evil.

Muslims have their excuses as well. Those who wish to use religion as an excuse will find a way. GWB said God told him to attack Iraq. Sarah Palin said it was God's will that the US attacked Iraq, or something along those lines.

Kent State. Neil Young wrote a great song around that event. What is a War Mongol? I've never heard the term.
"War Mongol" was the term that the hippie war protesters used for the people that believed we should be in Vietnam. They were older so they are not much around now. It was the younger people who were against the war and some of us are still fighting against the whole concept of war. Some of the WW2 veterans supported the war to finish the job they started. Some of them were just red necks and pro any sort of wars. Then there was the government & they use to talk about the domino effect or the domino theory. Peace symbols, love beads and long hair was a standard way to show you protested the war. Which really upset the older pro war people. Another pro war term was war hawks.

I can come close.
The youth were trying to raise money for missions. So they got people to pledge a dollar for every verse they could memorize, chapter and verse. One of the kids actually memorized 300 verses. People were a bit surprised to find out they were going to have to come up with $300 for missions to pay off their pledges.

Thomas Malthus said it was Nature's will that we go to war.

Not to mention the virtues of famine and pestilence and whatnot.

Is that how you see war?

"I'm sending you to die"?

...for profit. Yeah, that's how I see war. I read that Haliburton and Dick Cheney received over 20 billion dollars from the American government. Nice profit. Imagine being a major shareholder or outright owner of the companies that made all the security equipment installed at airports after 9/11. Some serious profit there. Or the companies that make bullets and bombs, wheelbarrows of money during war.

You're probably old enough to remember Vietnam. Wasn't there a paper produced by the CIA I think that said something like 90% of the reason the US went into Vietnam was profit for major corporations? I can google if you can't remember.
