You missed the point completely by a country mile.

Christians breed Christians and Muslim breed Muslims, religion for 99.9% of people is not a choice, religious people like to think it was their choice to believe what they believe, however it's was not, they believe what they were raised to believe, that's why there are Christians in the US and Muslims in the middle east.

We will now hear from every religious person here about how they were all raised by atheists and found their gods on their own.
Either that or how much I must have been hurt by religion in order to talk like I have, FYI, I have never ever been religious at any time in my life.

So your theory does not hold up. Just as many Muslims will be saved. The redeemed are not my concern. Does it bother you that God destorys sinners? Or that sinners perish fighting wars? There is a difference between living under the law and living under the Grace of God. Under the law lots of people perish in their sin.

Again with the deflection.... the USA joined the war for two reasons, Japan attacked them and the president knew that if they did not join in the war in Europe the USA would be next on Hitler's list, it's better to fight an enemy with everyone else than to fight alone.

Jesus died on the cross for our sin. Each individual must accept that and be born again. The natural birth is of the flesh then we are born again of the Spirit. Everyone has a choice to make. You have a choice to make if you want to follow God's plan of salvation or not. The ball is in your court, it is up to you to decide. No one can make that decision for you. Only you can decide for yourself what you want to do.

Ah, you made me chuckle here. Is Thor really your god? You know, I am from Denmark, and we grew up and were told all those norse myths. And there is actually a society of people who worship those gods ... still, here in Denmark.

How well does prayer work for amputees?

Personally, I did not yet pray for an amputee. I know of a person like Curry Blake who can reference even such miracles.

How do you know your God is the good one and the Devil is the bad one? did someone tell you which one was which?
if so you don't actually know you just believe the person who told you, it seems religious people spend a lot of time believing other people don't they? in fact everything about every religion came from other people didn't they?
It seems to me that religious people everywhere spend most of their time believing other people and the rest of their time imagining their Gods.

Hm, well, I have told my history to a number of people, and they usually do not feel good after I told it. But since I feel that you are a sincere person, I will give you the history.
When I was 20 I tried hashish for the first time. I felt like something broke inside me, and I would never heal. 1½ year later I stopped using it. It had not really brought me into those spiritual depths that it had seemed to have promised me when I first tried it. About 14 days after that, I was on a course in gestalt therapy, and the first night I was sleeping on a bed when 2 white beings approached my bed. At first my reaction was curiosity, but when they came closer than a meter from me, I felt that it was too close. But I could not stop them. Now I did not like the situation any more. I heard the hand of one of them sliding on my blanket, and I was afraid so I tried to move away. I realized then that my body was unable to move. It was like stone dead. I was now in a struggle for my life, I did not have time to feel terrified, I was like in a pit and needed to get up right now. But I could not. At a very strong attempt to get back into my body and get the command over it, I suddenly managed it, and I made a jump. And they were all gone. I searched through the house to see where they were, but they were gone. I knew that these were evil, and from that day on, I knew that evil existed. Evil in a deep sense. Evil more deep than average life. I also had a permanent feeling of somehow hanging over a deep pit. Not nice.

When I was 26½, I found an evangelical church. This was my first experience with an evangelical church. And I felt that there was a presence of something, like a rain or something. I decided to stay there for some time, but I could not find their "recieve Jesus in your heart" teaching in the Bible, and therefore I was quite resistant. At the end however, I decided to give it a try, and I called on Jesus to come into my life. Actually I had done that before without success, but this time maybe because there were other christians there (?) I had an experience, that that thing which was broken 6 years before, now it was made whole, and I had a feeling that it was said to me, from now on I would no more fall below a certain level, there was a bridge over the deep pit now.

Concerning the first experience, with the white beings, I realised a year ago, that it is much like experience of sleep paralysis, which is actually something that many other people have experienced.

It has been an only time in my life, and I do not ever want to go into such an experience again.

If I don't go with your God then my punishment is death? a little bit like the mob wouldn't you say? if you don't buy our fire insurance then we can't be held responsible for what might happen but you can be sure something will happen.
It's the vilest thing I have ever heard, love me or die the choice is yours.

Now I have shared something personal here, so I would be interested to know if you ever had some likewise deep spiritual experience.

Not in the way you think, I have been moved in the cinema and the theatre and I have cried with delight and sadness because of the music and the words but I have never once put those feelings down to a God of any sort, why would anyone even think of doing that?

You have been told a God exists and you have designed the God in your mind to suit yourself and your needs, for you your God is wonderful and can do no wrong, your God truly understands you and he loves you and you think your God will take care of you. [I take it your God is a he?]
The truth is you are taking care of yourself and giving the credit to your imagined God.

Except I have been trying to believe (unsuccessfully) for roughly 7 years. Belief is not a choice like picking between a red car and a blue car, it is more a consequence of personal experiences and interpretations, neither of which are fully consciously controlled.

What if that were true, what if God were a product of our own imagination. As long as it works, as long as people are happy and content then what is the problem? For me I would not claim I created God because my God goes beyond what people can do on their own apart from God. Also I would do things a lot different from the way He does things.

The Bible says seek and you shall find. I am not sure what it is that you are trying to believe in, but you have not demonstrated to me that you have any idea at all in regards to what God is all about. Often people have a strawman God of their own creation and they have not yet found out about the real God and what He is all about.
