  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Just make sure you have fun...IMO, you can look at dancers and the ones who truely enjoy it and are having fun are the ones who stick out to you as the "good" dancers - does that make sense?  In other words, don't get so caught up in it that it becomes so much work that it takes the fun out - if you don't remember steps, keep at it, they come back to you eventually (or you learn how to fake them really well...ahem...nope, not speaking from experience there!  haha!).  I did it last night...went to my tap class and got so frustrated because I couldn't remember a combination and when I finally got it down, I kept adding an extra step in it.  I was so upset with myself, and the more frustrated I got, the more trouble I had with it.  Finally, I said, "FORGET IT!" and decided to just dance...never had another lick of trouble with the combination!  haha!  I guess I was just thinking too hard!  :)

Good luck!

Old thread, sorta ;)

I'm taking Music theory 3B (second semester), Spanish 1B, and beginning piano (hehe :) kinda funny since I could probably be a bit higher than that.. just a tad... ;)...but the teacher is an international concert pianist (and also my Spanish teacher's wife) so....) and also a basketball course, but unfortunately, sadly, etc., that doesn't begin until March 25th or so.

I'm also taking trig and physics via video homeschool thingies, in high school. My high school classes have all been harder than any of my college courses. =D (just a junior/community college, but ya know).

Cool! I was an English writing major (where the only lit courses I ever had were British literature classes) and a communication minor. Sounds like we probably had similar courses... Ever taken a class on Milton. My favorite literature class of all time!

I have not taken a Milton class. We have a small English department at my school which isn't great for someone majoring in it. One of my professors is working hard to get more English courses established, but I am graduating in May so it won't benefit me much. What do you plan to do after you get your doctorate? And where did you get your Masters?

A God Chaser,
Jessica

Hey, Jessica.

I got my undergraduate at a Baptist college called Samford U., in Birimingham, AL. My masters was in counseling at the University of Montevallo.

Now, that I'm in Ocala (outside of Gainesville - Go Gators!), I am the middle school minister at FBC. After graduation, I'm going to do something very atypical from a person graduating from that program - I'm going to remain in the ministry. My desire is to be a Marriage and Family Ministry. (Not married now, but hoping they'll let me do that in spite of that!)

Where are you taking classes, and what do you plan to do? (I didn't do a thing, really with my major - most of what I do is from my minors - religion, human growth and development, and communication!)
