Hehe Probably doesn't fit too well in here, but it's the best fit we have :D

I've always wanted to see Cirque Du Soleil live and in person. These people are incredible!

Have you been to one of it's showings?
Did you enjoy it?
Better live than on DVD?

Blessings!

While you may like Cirque, you've got to realize that
A) the onstage talent is top-notch!
B) the choreography is terrific!
C) the music is wonderful!
D) the techies-lighting, sound, props, costumes, makeup, stagehands etc, are simply some of the best around
E) The precision and design that goes into it is spectacular, beyond that seen the random pop culture of today.

I'm in theatre; I know the work that goes into even just a simply lighting plan, costume or prop-let alone something like Cirque!

Some people are into sports; others are into theatre and the performing arts. Personally, I can't stand football! (soccer is cool to play though!) But to see the intricate detail, the design and thought that goes into every part of Cirque...that is truly interesting, entertaining, spectacular to me!

Maybe it's the culture; a sort of instant gratification culture. I think the arts get a bad rap in the USA (just look at the Tony's jokes!)

BTW, Cirque is not American. It was started in Quebec, Canada, and now the shows have a truly international cast, and they travel around the world, with some permeanent instillations.

 Cirque:clap:

If you're at all into showy concerts, see Cirque! Into theatre, musicals, art...goes see Cirque!

DISCLAIMER: SallyNow can not be held responsible for your bad taste if you find a live performace of Cirque boring.:p Okay, or just if you have different tastes, not necassarly bad ones. :)
