Correction, roughly 58% of newborns were circumcised in 2010 based on hospital discharge records (Source). And that's just non-medical circumcision performed in hospitals. It doesn't include medically necessary circumcision, or circumcision performed outside of a medical facility (as some Jews and Muslims do)

You are saying that a procedure is butchering that you have never actually witnessed. I have witnessed numerous circumcisions, and know that it is not butchering.

In my mind cutting off a piece of the penis is butchering. Especially when its actually quite a sensitize spot. It's not just a dead flap of skin..

Look, I not recommending circumcision for every guy. If you don't want to circumcise your sons, then don't. As far as I'm concerned, it's a religious decision. I just get sick of people exaggerating what's going on.

There is no comparison between male circumcision and female genital mutilation. apples and oranges.

Skin? I chew off skin around my fingernails all the time, even causing it to bleed. It's not mutilation.
