Billions to be spent annually in the sanctuary cities, and president Trump requested $5.7 billion to complete the wall in 2018, denied by Chuck Schumer speaker of the senate (D/NY), a fraction of the cost of the burden on sanctuary cities (Democratic Evil, Come Home To Roost)!

The recent illegal immigrants are walking through the border without barriers to stop them, and they are arriving in New York in the tens of thousands, costing a projected $12 Billion over 3 years?

The US has two borders. A northern border it shares with Canada, and a southern border it shares with Mexico. Additionally, the United States has a lot of international airports, it also has seaports.

People from all over the world come into this country by a whole lot of means.

The obsession with the southern border is part of rightwing political propaganda for the express purpose to create fear. It's about xenophobia. It's not any different than the xenophobia scares that politicians have been conjuring up for the past couple hundred years. They were doing that in the 1800's in regard to the Irish. Mexicans and other Latin American people have, for a long time, been treated as dangerous--and it has always been racist and xenophobic. It still is.

The wall is a rather stupid idea that is far more trouble than it is worth since people will find way to get through, over or under. It is probably better to try to work with all the places people are fleeing to make them more habitable so people wont want to leave. Who would want to leave their homes and families to travel hundreds of miles at high risk unless absolutely necessary?

It is probably better to try to work with all the places people are fleeing to make them more habitable so people wont want to leave.
