First off there is a difference between a video game and a movie. A movie is not interactive. You sit and watch. You are not going to absorb witchcraft into you by watching a movie anymore than a Hindu will get into Christianity simply buy watching a movie that has some Christian themes into it. Video games are a bit different. It's interactive and games are meant to be played over and over and over and over again. Anybody who practices anything be it martial arts to singing will tell you that repetition is the key. I would be more concerned about someone playing these occult video games over and over and over and over and over again than someone watching a Harry Potter movie. Occult studies is just that something you study mainly BEFORE you choose to work any skills. Video games can have you doing all kinds of things without you once taking the time to study and KNOW what in the world you are doing. So I think movies are just fine. Video games require you to interact with repetition.

say that to the prlly thousands of Wiccans who started to learn about it after watching the craft

Well....to me it's like this....People are always going to do what they're not supposed to do, that's the nature of man. I think it has to be a judgement on the person who is watching. An adult male watches porn, but it's not good coz it corrupts the mind, whether the characters are real or not. If he's at a young age, it's more impressionable to think that oh- this is what it's all about. He grows into a young man probably thinking the same thing [or not].

Video games works on the same concept. You have games where you're only hunting people to kill. Depending upon the age of the child, some of them follow suit and become more aggressive than others [also their background too..]. I mean that kid in Florida that killed the 6 year old girl after trying to imitate a move from the game.

witchcraft..well..see, the devil has so many tricks up his sleeves to deceive us that it's not funny. He uses what we like against us and takes us further away from God [that's my own opinion].

I play alot of video games. I don't play the really violent ones, but my cousins do and sometimes I can't take the blood and things like that. I have friends who watch porn and I used to do that stuff, but how much of that can one person take? It gets to the point where it makes you think of sick things and then it defiles your body and mind. I'm not preaching, I'm just sayin that that stuff is not for me [well the porn, I still play video games LOL]

I feel that christians should know about the evils out there so they can tell their younger christian brothers and sisters about it. There are some things that I don't advocate, but people do it anyway. The best thing is to pray. Didn't Jesus say to keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer? I know He meant people, but I'm just saying that in order to defeat your enemy, you need to know more about him/it/her.

I watched The Craft and I'm not a wiccan

Ok hello i was just wondering i see a lot of people that post about watching movies playing games with witchcraft in it etc i know they that don't mean you're not saved but they still do put ties in you etc open doors i was just wondering maybe why people still do it when it does that.Just give me what you think etc

You are right . God hates witchcraft, and he hates fornication , He tells us to guard our minds from much of the things we see in games and the media.

A Christian may fall into that kind of sin...but he will not stay there if he is indeed saved . We have the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth ...if they are not convicted by the Holy Spirit into repenting I would have questions about then too.

One does not need to have Cancer to know it can kill you or to know how to treat it.

If we believe we are only doing the Lords work to get to know this stuff we are deluding ourselves. We do it because we like sin too

Rom 5:17
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Rom 5:18
Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life.

Rom 5:19
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Rom 5:20
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Rom 5:21
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom 6:1
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Rom 6:2
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Rom 6:3
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Rom 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Rom 6:5
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection:

Rom 6:6
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with [him], that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Well I'm still a sinner. I'm still sick with sin. Maybe that's why I still watch movies and play those video games. But I am getting better!!!

We are all sinners..but we can not use that as an excuse to keep doing things we know that God calls sin.

That is called besetting sin ..in a sense we are slaves to that sin and not servants of Christ.

Self control is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

I do not say this to condemn any one ..because we are all sinners, but we need to see sin as God does and to use prayer and self control by the Holy Spirit..

Repentance does not mean saying I am sorry ..it means to turn away from it .

It is really hard, because we love sin, and hate to even think about giving it up.....But it is what God wants of us

Blessings to you as you grow in grace !!!

But this would not be the norm. Besides anybody who embraces a religion based on a movie they saw IMO is really wishy washy. If a person decided to become a Christian after watching Dear God with George Burns I would wonder if they knew squat about the religion they are now claiming. Same deal. If a person decides to become a Wiccan after watching The Craft then they embraced a religion without knowing anything about it. Same with people who change denominations. Because who switch without studying the history of a denomination is wishy washy and probably will not last long in it.
