The sabbath commandment was never done away with, but then neither was the rest of the law. Nobody has the authority to go about changing the law. Adventists are just as guilty as everybody else here; the law does NOT consist of ten commandments, but of 613. You can NOT just pick and choose which commandments apply to you and which you can ignore.

If you are under the law, you are under the entire law.

So the entire law still stands. However, the law
a) was given to Israel
b) is for the wicked and ungodly
c) applies to the living
b) was given to make sin exceedingly sinful
c) had its time until John
d) is part of the old covenant, and
e) is the power of sin.

I'm not an Israelite, I'm not wicked and ungodly, I'm dead with Christ, I'm in the NEW covenant, and I have no particular reason to try and make sin exceedingly sinful and to go about empowering sin.

But if you for some reason would like to be under the law, you're obligated to be under the ENTIRE law.

p.s. if the shadows can disappear then God is untrustworthy and the scriptures which teach an eternal Torah are worthless. If those scriptures are worthless then all the rest must be called into disrepute also.

Why would that be a problem ? It isn't as if we have a single known original piece of one writing in existance to check what we do have .

Nobody has the right to tell God's church what it should do. The Law was not given to the church, and anyone who tries to say that is, is accountable with the circumcising Jews whom Paul called 'dogs'. So beware!

And incidentally, nobody can prove himself a Jew, so nobody can say that Moses applies to him.

So in order to defend this position, you have to back yourselves into the corner of lawlessness..

Its sad. As if the law was not preached over and over all over the bible. The saints in revelation 12 keep the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus. I just don't know why people would go so far off just to defend their position.

'He said to them, "Because of the hardness of your hearts Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way.' Mt 19:8-9
Do not harden thine hearts and minds!

2 Corin 3:14 But was hardened/epwrwqh <4456> (5681) the minds of them. For until the today day, the same covering upon the reading of the Old Covenant is remaining, no being up-covered. That In Christ it is being-taken-away.

What has that got to do with being tougher than Moses laws. Side note... Moses did not make up any laws. He was only the messenger.

Thats just one case. Generally the civil laws of moses and the ceremonial laws are much more strict and complex and the moral law.

Hi. Isn't that why Jesus was sent to the Jews/Israelites to relieve them of the burden of those? Just curious.

Exactly. The eye for an eye civil law was relieved by Jesus who showed the principle of love. All of the sacrifices and the strict ordinances that were being kept were made void by Christ. So why should the saints in Revelation 14 have stricter laws than these to keep.

The Holy Spirit is even more strict than any law written in stone or parchment, because of the depth, width, breath..of the spiritual law.
