In John 14:15 BEFORE the cross or any change at the cross Christ said "if you love Me KEEP My Commandments" in the TEN Commandments God said to "Love Me and KEEP My Commandments".

For the wicked the law remains external on tablets of stone - for the born-again the LAW is "written on the heart and mind" Jer 31:31-33... Hebrews 8.

Paul points out that the wicked do not submit to God's Law - neither indeed CAN they" Roman 8:5-8 and then contrasts the stated of the wicked with the saints who walk according to the Spirit.

Rom 3:31 "Do we then make void the LAW of God by our faith? God forbid! in fact we ESTABLISH the Law of God"

Romans 6 "What then? Shall we sin because we are not under LAW but under grace? May it never BE!"

No where in Holy Writ do we find the Sabbath called the Lord's Day. The words you quote from Isa 58:14 do not appear in my copy of the Bible. I did not even find anything close.

It was a little early for his church to be in session. NTL it is still a sin to post on the Sabbath because it requires other to work on 1s behalf and is forbidden by the 4th as written in Ex 20.

Augustine simply expounds Paul's teachings. He says that women are saved through childbirth, that childbirth is only holy in marriage, and with the head of the wife being the man-
Augustine is just brutally honest, you see.

The Church defines the Bible collectively as sacred. However, it is also very limited- it is because of this that non-Catholic Christianity tends to be so arbitrary. Without the fundamental perceptions of those such as Augustine and the Church theologians altogether, that's ultimately what you end up with. Arbitrary conclusions rather then the pure and simple, unadulterated interpretation of the books.
