Bfa1, can you try to not post nonsequitars?

I think that atheists/agnostics etc are just as constructive citizens as those who are Christians.

The issue is Christianities relevance in a secular society. Obviously more people are finding it not relevant.

It seems that everyone here is happy with that? If that is the case, why do you claim to be Christians? I wouldn't stay something that I didn't consider relevant.

Then why is it a bad thing if more people do not believe in God, which means they do not believe in what is being taught about God.

As a Christian, I perceive it as a bad thing for Christianity to be less relevant.

Being a good citizen is what the state has to worry about, and what I have to worry about as a fellow citizen. However, being a good citizen is not the beginning or end of of what I desire for others.

Just like I think that empericism should be relevant, democracy should be relevant, so also I desire Christianity to be relevant.

To not desire your own systems of thought to be relevant is inherently inconsistent though.

And all sorts of contrary things are being taught about God, or gods, or some power, or what have you. Many of the people I know don't know what most Christians teach about the Christian God, they have misperceptions which are usually acquired from TV shows and a few fundamentalists in the newspapers.

Do you know any atheists Senti? I would say that most of my friends are atheist/agnostic or not practicing.

Jon, I spoke of citizens of the world not just citizens. Why do you ask whether I know any atheists? The first atheist I talked to was a classmate of mine in lawschool. That conversation made me realize that much of what I had heard about atheists was false.
