I generally agree, but it is official doctrine that it is possible to logically demonstrate the existence of God.
So it isn't all unprovable, and not at all an "irrational" faith, as many try to make it.
On the contrary, it is the most rational option of all, for the sound use of the mind is always in accordance with God, and leads to Him as well.

Oh, that ol' thing eh? Man, it really is getting old. I can trace my way back to general custer but that does not make me a racist against the Native Americans. You can do all the geneology you want but it does not take away the fact that the RCC also distorted and blasphemed the Holy Word and that their "traditions" leave a bad taste in my mouth. Indulgences anyone?

Do you even know what an indulgence is?

And again, without appeal to Tradition, how do you even know your Bible has the correct books?

It's not "traditions" but Tradition. It includes the Bible which I hope it does not give a bad taste in your mouth. It includes the doctrine of the Trinity, of which you have no proper definition in the Bible.

Did we distorted and blashpemed the Holy Word? When? Before 1490? 1200? 876? in the catacombs?

Okay, I'm not Catholic, by any means. But I at least can understand what the Catholics are talking about here. Without the Sacred Tradition, you (or any Christian) would have no clue which books belong in the Bible & which books do not. There is no "list" of the books that are supposed to be included found within the Bible. The Sacred Tradition tells which & how many books belong in there. Without the Sacred Tradition, you wouldn't have the "Word of God" you keep claiming. Geez! I'm not remotely Christian & I can understand that!

Again we have not corrupted the Word of God, even in the only Bible you so vehemently defend you can find: "This is my Body"

You can disagree with our (and the Eastern Orthodox) interpretation of it, but we have not changed the Bible.

On Indulgences, again, do you know what an indulgence actually is?

ByGrace, You are quite the presumptuous little fella, aren't you? You don't know one way or another what I know about Christianity, Mister. I used to be Christian, & I probably know as much (if not more) about it as most Christians on this site. As far as Catholics not knowing about Christianity...that's really laughable, being as Catholicism is Christianity & Catholicism pretty much created Christianity, & without Catholicism there would be no Christianity. Every single Protestant branch of Christianity came from Catholicism, honey, so I'm quite sure that Catholics know precisely what Christianity is.

Jesus created Christianity we just gave the word. That work is not only done through the Catholic Church but also through many other Christians who, the best they know, share the message of the Gospel to the world. A message which is of salvation from sin but also (actually the main focus of Jesus preaching) of Charity.

Without love, a Christian is nothing.

Cerridwen and others who are still not Christian, don't listen to the deliriums that people will spew trying to pass as Christianity.

Even most protestants agree to the importance of Tradition. Just some very few ones, who think that, right after Jesus died, everyone bought their copy of the KJV bible, cried "Lord, Lord" and "was saved".

The fact that they'll use Jack Chick, a man so delusional and dishonest that his works are matter of joke by Christians and non-Christians alike, proves how much thought they have put in their faith.
Crispie, we are to love God with all of our understanding.
Until you can explain why your Bible has the books it has, and not other books (gospel of Thomas, Nag Hammadi, etc), you are basing your faith in one big unexplainable mess!
And tip: none of the books has a list of books!

PS: this Chick tract is also offensive to many protestants, like Lutherans and Anglicans, who believe in the Real Presence, and not that the Eucharist is symbolic.

Well, your problem is you use the Sacred Tradition to support which Gospels are correct right? Well for what reason is the Sacred Tradition "right" besides the fact that your basing its reliability on your faith.
