Romans 10

Apparently your forgetting that Wiccans do not follow the Bible and it has nothing to do with our faith.

To Wiccans, that is completely true. But to Christian-Wiccans, that poses a potential contradiction. But that's only if they follow what Paul has to say. As of yet, no one has shown where Jesus has said the 2 are incompatable.

"The only to the Father is though me", he said, not though Paul, not thought the 10 Commandments, not though the Bible, and not though religious dogma. If they follow only what Jesus said, I see no contradiction.

Hey~

While I disagree with the idea of Christian Wicca, as I believe it takes away from the core meanings of the two individual religions, I also realize that it is not my place to determine whether one can or cannot be of the faith they profess to be. I am a strong advocate of religious freedom, for EVERY religion....even if it is one you "make up as you go along". There are many paths to the Divine, & whatever path one chooses to follow is one's perogative...all paths are equally valid. For an explanation of what one Christian Wiccan actually believes, see http://www.witchvox.com/words/words_2003/e_christianwicca.html .

Hey~

The Bible never says "Christianity". And in it you don't believe in "only one religion". The commandment is to have no other Gods before the Christian God...it says nothing about religion, as religion is a man-made attempt to form a relationship with the Divine.

Acts 11:26
and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
(Whole Chapter: Acts 11 In context: Acts 11:25-27)

Acts 26:28
Then Agrippa said to Paul, "Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?"
(Whole Chapter: Acts 26 In context: Acts 26:27-29)

1 Peter 4:16
However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name.
(Whole Chapter: 1 Peter 4 In context: 1 Peter 4:15-17)

Right Right the christian word is not in the bible, sure.

Galatians 19-21
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Idolatry, worship of a false God. The bible only gives us one God and only his teachings to learn from, and not to use any other bibles or teachings from other religions. Got it?

Deuteronomy 32:16-20: "They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods, with abominations provoked they him to anger. They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not."

Thats a pretty good description of why you only use the bible and nothing else as a source for religion.

Psalms 106:35-38: "But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils..."

Talks about learning other religions once again.

Next time do your homework.

Go back & read my post again. I didn't say the word 'Christian' doesn't appear-I said 'Christianity" doesn't. Sure.

Idolatry, worship of a false God. The bible only gives us one God and only his teachings to learn from, and not to use any other bibles or teachings from other religions. Got it?

Again, nothing about religion. Only that you shouldn't put any other Gods before the Christian God. Got it?

See above.

Nope-says "learned their works"...nothing about religion.

Next time do your homework.

Been there, done that..got the T shirt. Next time try to read what it really says. rather than interpereting it to mean what you want it to & expecting someone else to buy it.

Obviously you can be Christian & Wiccan at the same time, otherwise there would be no Christian Wiccans. Got it?

LMAO! Hehe, I'm sorry, but I've debated with too many Creationists to believe that.

And Crispycream, where did Jesus ever condemn Wicca?

Well, to be fare the term "Wicca" is only about 50-60 years old so Jesus couldnt have condemned Wicca specifically...

In the Old Testament before Jesus "Thou shall not suffer a witch to live" is there. Originally "poisoner" but anyway how do we truely 100% know that "witch" today means the same thing as "witch" 6000+/- years ago?

Blessed Be,

Has anybody heard of the Christian Wicca movement? These Wiccans believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, but still do spells and celebrate the Sabbats. So for those of you who oppose Wicca...what do you say to dissmiss them as evil? Just wondering, sorry if i sound rude or something.
I say they are unsaved, unregenerated people who have been decieved into thinking they are saved by the evil one. A saved person will respect Jesus Christ and not conduct ceremonies of satan. The Bible calls witchcraft and divination what it is and is very clear on its practice. I believe it was Jesus Himself that said that "in that day many will come to Me saying Lord Lord, did we not prophecy in Your Name and cast out demons, and I will say I never knew you, depart from Me you workers of iniquity." seems you have identified a whole group of people who are going to be very shocked by the Words of Jesus on that day.

You are absolutely right. people have the right to follow whatever path they want to hell. Call it what you want, it is still the same old ticket to destruction.
