I would perhaps begin by reading:
Isaiah 53, Ezekiel 34, John 10, John 14, John 15, Matthew 22:36-40, Matthew 19:16-19, Matthew 6:1-18, John 5:22-30.
The prophet Isaiah foretells of the Lord bearing our sins, Ezekiel foretells of the Lord as our savior & shepherd. Chapter 10 of John the Lord states that He is the good shepherd. Chapters 14 & 15 in John the Lord asserts His divinity as the Son & reveals the Persons of the Father & Holy Spirit (Comforter) of God: The Trinity & keeping the commandments. The links to Matthew show what commandments we are to keep & charity, prayer, & fasting. The passages from the 5th chapter of John are a summary of the judgment of souls.
