That's part of it. Magic consists of phenomena which allegedly or apparently violate the known laws of nature, but don't in reality do so, being only contrived to do so for purposes of entertainment or deception.

There are three types of magic that I've identified:

1. Legerdemain, sleight of hand, parlor tricks, smoke and mirrors.

2. New Age magic: The belief that nature contains hidden forces that can be tapped into and manipulated to one's advantage.

3. True magic, where Satan uses his [limited] ability as the prince of the power of the air to perform lying wonders.
