Yeah, I just watched the video for like the 10th time. The song is so awesome & relevant, and fun to listen to.

Just curious, are you familiar with Lecrae?

I was checking out some of his vids on YouTube as well. He is one that I could get into. I like the speed-rapping that he does on a couple of his songs (former Bone Thugs fan in my younger days ).

I remember my pastor when I was 12 telling me how sinful the cover of the Petra album was and going on and on and on... this was actually a rather traumatic judgment moment in my life (because the music meant so much to me)...

What!? Which cover? I can't imagine anyone having a legitimate beef with Petra. All of their songs are rock solid lyrically. Overall, they've been my favorite Christian rock band as long as I can remember.

This one? Weird.

You'd have to be looking pretty hard to even notice what they were wearing.
I know all of the early Christian rock bands received a lot of flack just because they were playing rock which automatically made them an "agent of evil". I think some people were looking for any excuse at all to attack them without even looking into what these bands were trying to do or what they stood for.
I know Petra and other Christian rock and metal bands were a great help and encouragement to my parents who had come out of the secular lifestyle listening to bands like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. It would have been pretty hard if they would have been forced to listen to the Gaithers and George Beverley Shea!
