I haven't been able to find Aleixa's stuff anywhere.
I found both of the albums on Amazon Marketplace a couple years ago. Had my mom order them for my birthday that year.

Here they are:
Honeylake:
http://www.amazon.com/Honeylake-Ale...=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1236635621&sr=8-6

Disfigured:
http://www.amazon.com/Disfigured-Al...=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1236635621&sr=8-1

There's a few other songs scattered here and there (like the cover of "Tennessee Christmas", and that remix listed on Amazon for one of The Echoing Green's songs), but those are the big two. Both of them even have New copies listed for sale.

Most of the time, I listen to secular music. Some of it is produced by Christian musicians in secular bands, like U2. I like music that happens to be made by Christians, but I'm not necessarily into the preachy stuff. As a result, I don't usually follow the Christian music scene.
You'll be surprised what's out there, just like I was. Look into a lot of the music listed in this thread.

I don't know if I've posted here or not. Don't think so.

I listen to:

Flyleaf
Red
Fireflight
Thrice
Dustin Kensrue (I don't know if he'd be considered 'rock' on his own, but he's the vocalist for Thrice; he makes his own Christian-infused music)
Kutless
Skillet

Most of Christian music that I listen to is more folk-y/worship-y/softer. Red, Flyleaf and Thrice are my favorites.

I listen to some of it. But Christian music lacks a lot of the rock I enjoy. I prefer a harder sound. There are a few bands that are decent. Anberlin, Red, Skillet. But I would never consider Casting Crowns or Third Day rock. Don't get me wrong, I like some of their songs, but I wouldn't define them as rock.

I agree with your assessment of Casting Crowns and Third Day. But Christian music can get as hard as it gets. What's the harder stuff that you like? I can probably name some stuff that's as hard, or perhaps harder.

I'm not a fan. There isn't very much of it that I enjoy.

Also, when a Christian artist writes music that is oversimplified, derivative, or whatever, that bothers me. I don't care when secular artists do it, because that's their perogative, but when someone puts out an album that's entirely mediocre and then stamps God's name on it... well I don't know how I feel about that. I know worship is about the heart and not the actions, but I just feel that if your heart was in the right place your musical offering to God wouldn't be writing one song over and over again in slightly different ways until you've got an album.

Who are your favorite bands/artists?

oh man here's a list that could go on forever :)

How long have you been into Christian rock?

about 4 years give or take, and there are still new artists I discover all the time. It's such an adventure.

Do you still listen to secular?

only a few artists: Coldplay, jimmy eat world, and a few others. coldplay is on top of the list though by far. I dunno.... as much as people disagree I think christian music is just better.

Well, I've heard a few good Christian rock bands. I like Haste the Day's sound. Something like that?

Yeah, like that. Lots more where that came from.

Jesus Wept, Zao, Living Sacrifice, Norma Jean, No Innocent Victim, Figure Four, Demon Hunter - these are names you should familiarize yourself with if you don't know them already.

Yeah, looking at a few of the responses in this thread, I think if some people actually heard more Christian rock (different bands, different genres, etc.), they might get more into it. I had no idea the range of different Christian music that was out there, and the quality therein. What you hear on K-Love is no indication. It's not all contemporary/pop, the best of it is in the harder genres that you never hear on the radio. I found everything I like on the internet.
