I have spent a long time trying to become a better person and a better christian.
Who can say if I have or have not changed. I am not a judge.

After some time in my life, I do feel that I have changed for the better.. But I am confused. The Bible teaches love and forgiveness, After some time, One can begin to really feel these things in their heart.

I ask you all, Is it wrong, To feel sorry for the Devil? I realize what the devil is, and what he has done to God and man,, but My heart was taught to love and to forgive, And I do feel sorry for a soul that is so damned without any chance for salvation..

Is this wrong to feel? Am I wrong?

I understand your thought on this. But that is the wrong sympathy for the most evil wicked person alive. The devil also called Satan is the father of all lies, the reason Jesus had to die for our sins. Satan try's to lead people to disbelieve Jesus Christ. Satan is the cause of death and people going to hell. He dose all he can to distract people in their driving to cause a crash and to kill and hurt people for their lifetime.

Every funeral I have ever done, reminds me that had Satan not tempted Eve there would be no death or hell. Blame sickness and war on the evil in the world that Satan. He encouraged the crime on the streets, the killing and every evil deed relates back to Satan.

Feel sorry for his victims, the loved ones we have lost and the pain in the world.

Thanks for your answer guys..I was speaking to my dad last night and we sometimes have bible discussions,, My dad believes that it's possible that everyone who ends up going to hell, may end up being destroyed with the second death.. I was already afraid of hell. But if it's true that most who go there will receive the second death and have their souls destroyed. it makes me fear it even more. I had always assumed that Justice was everywhere and that people in hell would be punished according to their sins. kind of like people will be rewarded according to how they lived their life... Does anyone know, if it is true that everyone who goes to hell will get the second death?

I believe that the love of God will ultimately triumph and that hell will eventually be defeated and emptied as God's good purposes in creation are consummated.

Dear Brother, Here are a few verses I want to share with you, please take a few minuets to read them, please. John 3:16 tell us is we believe, trust him we are born again, John 10:27-30 gives you the fact that if you are a born again follower of Jesus Christ you are eternally HIS and no one that change that!

the second death you are refereeing to is for those who reject Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior. When the die that is once and put in hell is the second death.

Read the Bible start with John and then Mark, Luke and John, this will help you get a basis for your belief in Jesus Christ, and grow in your faith and assurance. Are you involved in a church? If not find a good bible believing church and go!

Dear Shadowprophet. God is Love, and God wants loving sons and daughters. The devil is everything which is NOT Love. In Matthew 22: 35-40: Jesus told us:" The first and great Commandment is: Love God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. The second is like it: love thy neighbour as thyself." (neighbour is all we know and all we meet, friend and not friend) In Matthew 7: 7-10: we are told: " Ask and you shall receive," we ask for Love and Joy, then thank God and share all love and joy with our neighbour. God sees our loving efforts, and God will Bless us.
The Bible tells us: " Repent and be Born Again," we have to give up all our selfish wishes and wants, and start loving and caring, being kind and always friendly. a Christian`s weapon is love and compassion, with love we can overcome all anger and strange behaviour. The Holy Spirit will help and guide us, and Jesus our Saviour will lead us all the way:
JESUS IS THE WAY. We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us and carry on loving and caring. That is a Christian`s way to follow, and we will find that we gradually change and become the men and women
which God wants us to be.
To be forgiven, the Devil would have to follow Jesus to become one of God`s beings, do you believe there is the smallest chance of the evil one to follow Jesus? I say this with love, Shadowprophet. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.

Satan is already one of God's creations and, therefore, is loved by God.

Absolutely NOT! Satan has turned against the LORD of all/ Satan has declared himself as an enemy against the LORD G-D Almighty, Creator of everything the very ONE who gave Satan life.

Where did you get the impression Satan was loved as he is now?

You are in very serious error! Satan is the very ENEMY of Yahweh. Jesus Christ stands in clear opposition against the devil!

Could you please explain how you came to this conclusion? Where in Scripture do you give any proof what so ever? Please remember when you make such statements you are siding with this evil one, and suggesting others do the same.

I would go to church, I have no issues at all with church.. The issue with that is my wife works a whole lot. and even though she does not enjoy it, sometimes she must work on Sundays. very often in fact.. I do desire to go to church and I do love God, I worry though. Once I join a church, I have responsibilities to that congregation, It has happened once before that people from the church will come to my home and tell me I would go to hell for forsaking the gathering.. And I realized, If I was not in their congregation, and they were not pressing that charge against me, Then i would not be in danger of hell from their accusation.. I know this sounds like a cheap out. I do enjoy church.. But it feels like under some circumstances, I put my soul in the hands of the congregation when I join a church.. It's complicated.. I DO LOVE GOD, And I do pray often.

And I know I should be in church.. But, For me to join a congregation, They would have to love me and my soul enough to not condemn me to hell for missing a few Sundays.. I know this sounds bad.. But joining a church.. Has to be the right congregation of brothers and sisters as well. and that is difficult to find.. I know that no man is an island to himself,, But I am not by myself.. I have God in my heart And I love him dearly. I am never alone.

I'm familiar with the thoughts of sympathy, or rather pity for the devil.
Here's why: No creature created itself, God did.
This implies asking: Can any creature help it, that he / she is what he / she is?
Very difficult, rather confounding question...
I don't know to what extend any creature is to be held responsible for what they are (made to be).

I find it remarkable how someone would fear annihilation more than eternal torment in some hell like facility.
Indeed, the 2nd death is the terminal death (so to speak).
Who will not die the 2nd death will LIVE, with God.
Those who do die the 2nd death will not be sorry either, because you have to exist (consciously) to be sorry.

The typical horror of organised Christianity i.m.o.
Putting you under a law of mandatory gathering...
No wonder many do not feel at home in christianity, yet believing every Word of God. :(

I think I can explain, I fear the second death more the the torment of hell because, well, Because I have a health condition,, I stopped breathing in my sleep once. I believe I almost died. The experience Of what happened to me was very scary.. In my sleep, I realized that I was passing away.. The normal dreams melted away and there was this very real very awake feeling. And It was like my mind was being eroded away. Like my very self was being washed and faded into non existence, When I awoke, I was blue in the face, I could not see,, it took several minuets to catch my breath.. I say this as a Christian who loves God, I would rather know eternal torment then non existence.

To know anything, rather then nothing, and I believe this is true nature at work.. Gods gift of life is a gift even if one is in torment.. Because we continue to feel, we continue to think, we continue to know. This is why I believe the second death is a worse punishment then to exist in torment..

I know some will or wont believe my account to this past post. Yet, I do believe in God and here I am before brothers and sisters telling this story.
To lie is bad,, But to lie about God and to lie to brothers and sisters about something like this.. No, It would be fruitless and dangerous to the soul..

I may not fully understand the experience I had. But To the best of my ability to understand, that is how it happened.

Could you please explain how you came to this conclusion?

God is love, and it is out of this love that God created all that exists (including Satan). The behavior of God's creation does not change the everlasting nature of God's love, as if God is swayed to and fro on a whim of conditionality; to the contrary, God's love for creation is enduring and unchanging--it is as inalterable as the very nature of Godself.

Where in Scripture do you give any proof what so ever?

It is a logical conclusion based on who God has revealed Godself to be in the person of Christ. God loves the creation, and will eventually restore and reconcile it to Godself, in Christ, that God might be all in all.

Please remember when you make such statements you are siding with this evil one, and suggesting others do the same.

Huh? How do you arrive at this conclusion? The fact that I suggest that God loves Satan does not mean that I am "siding" with Satan; it only means that I am acknowledging the everlasting and inalterable nature of God's love toward all that God has made.

You are thinking and feeling as a man...which is not wrong for a man, but wrong, nonetheless.

Is Christ more than a man? Yes. So too is Satan...and what he is shall not be saved, but destroyed, as light overcomes darkness.

The devil exists for a purpose. It would be a travesty if we believe God was surprised by the attempted coup.
Feel sorry rather for the people that Satan has deceived. Show them the love of Christ. Don't worry about Satan (other than rejecting him) and you'll do fine.

The place you describe is NOT a Bible believing church! You do not go the hell for not going to church! Do NOT go back there!

You do NOT have to join a church. I went to a church off and on for more than 2 years before joining, no one pushed to join.

Friend, Logic is NOT Scripture. Scripture is the very WORD and history of G_OD working with man and how He dealt with SATAN. Read Revelation, there you will see that Satan is NOT loved by G-d but Satan is the enemy of The Lord Jesus Christ and Father G-d! To say G-d loves him is like saying Hitler is a beloved Saint of the Roman Catholic church. And that is impossible! What you are saying is very close to blaspheme! be careful what you say that G-d loves. That is my opinion.
