Christian progressive rock

I like to listen to progressive rock, especially Emerson, Lake & Palmer. My favorite album is Brain Salad Surgery. I'd like to listen to Christian music, but all of the Christian prog rock I've heard isn't anything like ELP. Are there any Christian prog rock bands that sound like Emerson, Lake & Palmer?

Unfortunately, that's not like ELP at all... it sounds like Transatlantic. (I wonder why ) I don't like the majority of rock, or even progressive rock... I like 70's symphonic progressive rock, i.e. Yes, ELP, etc.

Try Rick Wakemans solo material .
I think you are being too hasty in your assesment of Neal Morse but that is your loss I am afraid .

I don't know much about prog-rock but I've heard the Mars Volta being labeled as prog, any thoughts?

Some of you may remember ATF ...After The Fire , well they were a Christian Rock band that were so good CBS signed them up ...mid 80s...

Big news first, After the Fire is finally re-releasing their Signs of Change album on CD. Here's the press release:

On 1st November 2004 advance orders will taken for the CD of the classic After The Fire album Signs of Change.

ATF's debut and self financed album was formerly only available on vinyl and audio cassette.

I don't know much about prog-rock but I've heard the Mars Volta being labeled as prog, any thoughts?

They're certainly not progressive in the symphonic ELP/Genesis/Yes sense, but I can definitely see parallels betwen the MV and Red-era King Crimson-- dark, heavy, beautiful at times, with lots of improvised noise bits and some nice arrangements.
