Hi everyone,

Thank you for your patience. In the past 18 days, I have had a lot of PMs from people sharing their concerns and hopes. I want you to know that I have listened, and in the next 5 days we will be addressing many of those concerns, including:

1. Overwhelming support to return to the christianforums.com site.
2. Concern about efficacy of Wiki Policy
3. Rules
4. Desire for unbiased and fair staff action
5. Fear that changes will adversely affect groups on the forum

In order to make sure that we can make the forum a better place for everyone, I am going to:

1. Gather a small group of advisory members
2. Create private staff forums to discuss staff structure and policy going forward.
3. Return the site to a more inreach focus as contrasted with outreach. This will not affect access for non-Christians.
4. Work with Christian and non-Christian staff to determine where non-Christian staff may mod.
5. Create a new policy for staff. Staff serve at my pleasure, they will no longer be elected or subject to member recall.
6. Instate a reconciliation team to handle appeals, mediate member-member conflict, staff-member conflict, oversee staff, and make recommendations to my designee as concerns staff discipline, and or staff removal.
7. Provide a wiki formatted forum for members to discuss a rule or provide solutions to a problem.
8. Turn on the infraction system with some modifications.

Looking like 7-7-7 is being rolled back in many ways.

What is a wiki? I been here for over a year and I see this wiki word but I honestly havent a clue as to what the heck this thing is.

I hear others say the word but I never asked before. For all I know it could be a doll or something like that, thats how clueless I am

This gives it the potential for both breadth and depth, but also increases the chances of controversy, inaccuracy, and a state of being perpetually "under construction." ("Wiki" is sometimes said to mean, "What I know is...," referring to the input from each separate contributor.)

The preeminent example is probably Wikipedia.

Now, I really don't know exactly what "wiki" means here at... whatever this place is called now.

- I thought that things had settled down here with For.U.ms and were working quite well.

Sounds like that's the plan. Frankly means little to me. I'm relatively new, and all the "777" stuff is mythology as far as I'm concerned.

2. Have we changed WEB Administrators? Erwin is in, out, retired, semi-retired, or something else?

From what I understand, Erwin abdicated a few weeks ago. May still have some input, but is no longer "da man."

3. Do we still have the same benevolent dictatorship structure- the WEB master is the be all and end all, and ultimate definer of the truth?

- This is something I really don't like because I am always nervous when there is too much concentrated power- that is why we have boards, committees, elected governments, etc. I think it is always better to have a structure that shares power and ensures that all ideas- good or bad, ultimately accepted or not, can be expressed, and that more than one mind ultimately decides what is best. Of course, if Jesus himself was the WEB master............

Currently have a sort of "trinity" -- One master (Lee), two trusted counselors. Ultimately, Lee makes all decisions.

4. I would like Christian Forums to aspire to being the most effective world-wide church that ever was. It will never replace a true church of believers that can physically meet and share communion, provide baptism, etc. But there is a vast audience out there that wants to follow the Christian faith- but can't because of their location, political structure, etc. If this can be their church, and bring glory to God, then let's have more of it!!

got a question on this...since they are not named here, will the Supervisors (yellow S) be promoted to Admins or demoted to Mods?

We are looking in to this and do not want to see them demoted at all. Will get back to you with something shortly.

I have some concerns about the idea of all staff members being appointed by Lee... since that would mean only people who Lee knows personally being able to join staff, and that could be really unfair.

I won't be appointing all staff and please know the the advisory team will be a huge asset in this process.

I'm disappointed that reports will be private again. I think it really helped people to see what mods do when working reports. Many of the concerns that lead to 777 in the first place had to do with secrecy, and the idea (mistaken or not) that staff did whatever we liked behind our closed doors. The openness has helped. I hate to think of us going back to the pre-777 animosity based on secrecy.

This is why we have the Reconciliation Team working on behalf of our membership as a safeguard.

This is great, I am new to the whole site and pretty much decided this site was filled with goats and asked my group not to be involved due to all the divisions.

Now perhaps we can spend time glorifying the Lord Jesus instead of trying to "rule this world"

I say the only part of wiki that worth saving is the Wikipedia section because that is instructive and encyclopedic.

Those at the bottom of the 'Heap' created by giving some sinners power over other sinners ,are hurt by unjust decisions of those higher up, all through as many levels as the Heap has .. the ones at the top suffer pride in themselves being 'better' than others by having the ability to create Heaps which others do not do because they cannot 'manage' Heaps or have more sense than to even try ... so those at the top suffer consequences of expanded pride due to 'Heap mentality' by moving even further away from God by ignoring the suffering of injustice their heap causes ... and those at the bottom suffer the blind persecution by the blind of the blind ... some do so meekly , but clearly God is not pleased with those who abuse the meek, nor with the pride of sinners that expands through being able to hand out punishments on basis of their unlovingness as sinners [by definition of sin being unloving ]...

Result? ... NO-ONE gains from the Heap, it was a BAD idea to make Heaps [hierarchies of sinners] , because all sinners are EQUALLY unacceptable to God ... all rejected by God until they cease to sin , depart from iniquity [see below for God's say-so on this]

So what does God say in scripture about this ?

God defines who is a christian, why not listen to what He says about who is and is not His, through St Paul ? Why adopt a different rule than God's one? :-

2 Timothy 2:19 :

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure,
having this seal,
The Lord knoweth them that are his.
And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Jesus' congregation of saints was based on equality, not on any members having rights to gag others or ban them ... giving sinners power over others corrupts them and the site is not following God by tempting sinners to take powers over others , judge them and execute censorship and bans, powers which are continually abused, sometimes deliberately, often through sheer ignorance of scripture ...

The problem is the inequality of powers, true christians do not even seek to judge others because Jesus said this is not the time yet for such judgement [many who do not yet believe may believe in the future] ... the very essence of love is NOT to judge yet but learn mercy and tolerance and perfect one's own love BEFORE one even can judge aright...

The site is thus structured not on the way of love of Jesus, but on inequality of powers that can corrupt even the best of sinners ... men thinking they are right despite that they know they are still sinners...

Jesus gave the answer in declaring NONE of his disciples above any other [unlike the hierarchy of modern religion and sadly this site as well...

Scripture is the ONLY creed that is agreed by all christians, as a written document it is ALL necessary and does not need qualifying by ANY private interpretation ...[2 Peter 1:20]

the ultimate authority though is the spirit of God Himself , given in spirit baptism that turns sinners into saints and is promised to all the few saints by Jesus.... we do not have here it seems anyone who knows all truth of God and the future [John 16:13] to guide us in united truth of God as the few saints guide many sinners eventually, men are led by sinners in almost all religion and thus it is blind leading the blind...

It makes no sense then to make things worse by giving the blind powers over the rest of the blind to corrupt both even further through power men were not meant to be able to take until saints ...

The scripture shows who are saints and sinners fail the points made in scripture about saints... it makes no sense whatever to structure the site using sinners over sinners to any depth, the injustice will always result that those pushed to the bottom suffer and those on the top get their egos destroy them because of their sins and pride in being above others telling them what they can say and do according to private beliefs, not the scripture of God as understood by saints...

The site has re-started without reproving itself to the law of love of God and His scripture , it will thus just manifest injustice to the many for sake of spoiling the few who presume to rule others as sinners, not saints of God...

Are there then lords and servants, or is the best lord the servant of all BY GODS law f love, not the law of sinners?
