There is more cruelty and mocking between Christians than there has ever been between Christians and non-Christians.
The Christian section makes General Apologetics look like Mister Roger's Neighborhood.
Come on, it's not that difficult. Do you believe that Christ died on the cross for your sins and that he rose again on the third day? If so, you are a Christian (no matter what rituals you perform during your "religious" practices) and if not then you are not a Christian. Is Jesus Divine? Is the Bible the Word of God? Pretty simple the gospel message really.Just one of many differences held by (actual) Christians. So who decides?
tulc(not trying to belabor this but it is going to be a problem))
Believe me I have seen it and if you check my posts you will see I have been addressing it.
Hi Annebelle..Long time no see..

I suggest getting rid of the LDS (Mormon) congregational forum. Joseph Smith's lies do not deserve that sort of legitimacy.
Everything you stated here are your personal religions beliefs. But not all Christians agree with them.Come on, it's not that difficult. You're assuming too much, dude. There are areas which are safe havens. Look at OBOB. Barely an atheist in sight; look at CC. Not a single atheist. But both forums are turmoily at the moment because we aren't doing it right. But they're still safe havens.Guess you and I see this website differently..I see it as a save haven to encourage that weak and struggling to a deeper walk in Christ..I see this as a safe haven for seekers also to inquire about our faith . You see it as a place to street witness...Iv'e witnessed in the streets and my co-workers..I know how nasty it gets.. But it saddens me to see a forum overrun and believers who this forum is for are run out..shalom..kim
...if that's true why are there different denominations?
tulc(still wondering)
I think non-christians posting is AWESOME! It's a great outreach and a great place for people to get answers.CF has always been open to non-Christians as the Outreach (questions by non-Christians) and the previously open forums such as GA and E/C would tell you.
If allowing non-Christians to register and post like everyone else is something you don't want in a discussion forum then I would have to ask why you ever bothered to register here in the first place since CF has always been open to more groups than just Christians..

I would only stipulate that non-Christians are genuinely seeking and asking questions with a RESPECTFUL attitude. Flaming someone for their faith is not respectful...it's mean. What's the point in that? Those people are not genuinely seeking answers they're just trying to stir the pot so that they can proove their point that Christians are "nuts".
I think what Lee put out there addresses this issue. He's trying hard to make things better. Not everyone is going to be happy, but at least he's hearing us. I give him a lot of credit for that!
Slight clarification while agreeing with your overall point -Any "invitation" was probably the creation of General Apologetics, and that occurred something like four years ago.
Debi1967 said:Steve has Lee had IIDB and ~E~lsewher explained to him and what it represents? That might be useful information for him.
yes..enlighten us all please..whats the lingo? IIDB and E~lsewher ?? what in the world is it?
Slight clarification while agreeing with your overall point -
GA has been around from the start, almost six years ago. Also from the start, Erwin made the site open to all, and welcomed non-Christians with open arms.
