We had a dog for 10 years before my husband gave in and said we could have a cat too. Jamara then joined the family, she is so soppy. She loves to be picked up and cuddled like a baby and she definitely rules the roost as far as the dog is concerned. She's balck and sleek and gloriously beautiful.
My mother just recently lost her cat and after 30 continuous years of having cats decided not to have anymore- for about two weeks. She now has 2 mad kittens called Troy and Jason- both Siamese. My children adore them. Here are a couple of pics..

I had pretty much decided not to have another cat after my last one died. I held out for a month and then this one just showed up on my porch. I have advetised and no one claimed him so he's all mine! Never could figure out why people dump animals. Seems to me if you want a pet you need to consider that it's a long term arrangement and decide accordingly. Oh well, anothers loss is definatly mine and the cats gain.

I don't understand people who say that cats are snobs, independant and cold....Cats are very very affectionate and are faithful and friendly just as much as dogs are. My cat continually wants affection and gives plenty. He's the most sweetest and adorable creature! He always comes running to us for cuddles and affection! There are even times when he follows me everywhere in the appartment!

Kelco and Kristi, your stories move me! God really did send you your cat as a gift!
Our cat comes from a litter of three kittens from a friend. I thank Jesus for my cat regularly. He's one of the most beautiful gifts God ever gave me (us - hubby and I). He came at a time in our life which was most difficult. What comfort he brang and still brings! What amazes me is how our cat matches our personality. He is somehow like us.![]()
Thank you Jesus for our beautiful cats!![]()
