First, I would say get clear with God about what He wants you to do. I mean . . . maybe do not just start with some job you would like, but first find out which ministerial group has the cause that God has for you to help with. And then see how you are needed.
You might not have a clue what you would be needed for, something that a lot of people do not know is being done. And even if a pilot is needed, you could need to get established in the overall operation of a ministry, including developing in your relating with the people . . . before you would be ready to fly . . . not to mention you might need a lot of on the ground training, first, so you can know what to do with the plane and when you fly to a destination.
For one example . . . I'm just imagining, here > you could be responsible for maintaining wells in remote locations. You could be the only person in the plane, which would mean you would need to know how to repair a well and fly in and replace parts. Or, you could have medical training iso you can fly in somewhere, even by yourself, to serve remote missionaries and others . . . maybe. Your plane might have room only for yourself and medical supplies and equipment to go to dirt runways . . . or to parachute-drop supplies.
I'm just guessing, here, but my point I am offering is you should investigate where you belong, first. And then what you are needed for can develop.
But our greatest investment can be to become able to make sure with God about what He wants us to do . . . at each moment . . . so at any time we can reliably and efficiently find out what He has us doing. And as we become led by God, in detail, then we can know at each moment what to do . . . versus trying to get guided by God only about certain issues, while then we try to handle things ourselves.
Beware of going by your preferences now, then; because they might be given us by God . . . or we could mature and then our personal interests could become out-of-date once we have grown in love and discovered all we can have in maturing love with God and our Jesus family people. Our relating can become more and more special, versus what we are doing.
A child needs to grow to become able to know.
And in certain ministries, the doctors and pilots and others might need to work so they can earn money to support their missionary jobs. You might need a more regular profession in order to finance your missionary activity!
So . . . pray . . . find out.
