sorry, I don’t follow. could you clarify this? thanks!Luke 20:34-36
it’s our Pascha (Easter) greeting. we use the older means to calculate when we celebrate the Resurrection. What's happening here
sorry, I don’t follow. could you clarify this? thanks!
Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children, since they are children of the resurrection.
but what does that have to do with our Paschal greeting? The verses read:
It is the ramification of the resurrection in the believers life, through it we are children of God and like angels...
It calls to mind Galatians 2:19-21 because we are crucified too, and are raised to live for God..
The point is that it's not just about Jesus, it's symbolic of our own life too.
but what does that have to do with our Paschal greeting?
we do, hence the greeting. and I don’t think anyone on here thinks of merely the custom apart from the participation in the Resurrection.I am suggesting the importance of focusing on our own participation in the resurrection rather than merely partaking in custom.
It is important to always keep in mind the purpose rather than just enjoying socially.
