CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You may all well laugh at me now
Last night / this morning after Liturgy and we were all lining up to kiss the Cross I slowly moved forward and when it got to my turn , I lKissed the Icons, Then Father's Cross and he greeted me with Christ is Risen , my jaw dropped , after using Ukie for several hours I had no idea s to how to respond in English and said so. He laughed and so did the other priest beside him , we resorted to Greek
It's been a fabulous week

That doesn't happen to me mainly because I actively teach people Orthodoxy in English - and our choir (this is deep in the Moscow boonies) now sings the troparion at one point in English and Greek (I think the English is partly thanks to my being there).

It sounds like at the Russian Church here where with the mixture of Russian and Greek we'd end up responding with " Ἀληθῶς воскресе!"
