CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We had a fantastic Pascha this year - we in the choir only botched one or two songs, and we had 70 degree, sunny weather with a light breeze. My wife, a friend and I made 15 dozen "devil"ed eggs with the help of some parish youth.
What a feast day!! Queen and Lady of days indeed.
Blessed Pascha to you all. I'm excited for this coming weekend, when our bishop will be serving at our parish on Friday vespers, Saturday morning (yes! A hierarchical paschal liturgy), Saturday vespers, and Sunday liturgy. I don't think I've ever spent that much time with a bishop...

I am completely exhausted. I was at the church since Good Friday morning and slept once! Polished a lot of brass, but because the weather was nice the brass polishing was done outside. Stayed up all night between Saturday and Sunday surviving off of about eighteen cups of coffee spread out in a fifteen hour period. Did not get home until six in the evening last night and fell asleep not too long afterward.
It was so worth it.
