Sometimes people mistake "pascha" eggs (what we normally call them) for the dyed red eggs. I thought I'd be more specific... but yes - it is a very ironic name.

For all of us that are blessed enough to be part of the Orthodox faith we are so fortunate to have the most spiritualy fullfilling Holy Week. And oh what a Grand Finale ......Pascha!
I love when the lights go completely dark in the church and then one by one the candels light the Church. And oh the beauty of singing Christos Anesti!
I would like all of us to share in a prayer that one day all the world may partake of and experience the amazing power of the Orthodox Holy week and Easter.

Our Metropolitan told us that the words "Christ is Risen" is the root and foundation of our theology as Orthodox Christians.

The words CHRIST IS RISEN! are the very foundation of all Christian life for without Christ's resurrection from the dead there would be no Christianity. All hope in life eternal springs from the fact that Christ rose from the dead and shattered death by death.
