I heard a couple of days ago that Christ Rea had passed away. I was surprised as he was still relatively young. I was into his music from around the 90s with his hit in Australia "lets Dance'. But also before that "Fool if you think its over' and 'On the Beach'. He was one of a kind.
I loved his slide guitar and he as a raspy voice a bit like Joe Cocker who also came from Sheffield.
My favorit album was 'Road to Hell' and I use to play that over and over lol. Its sad he has gone. But he sort of lost it in recent years. So I like to remember him when he was at his best. These are my favorite songs from the album.
