Well, little kitty has a name now, Punky. This is the first stray we've fed. My 17-year-old talked me into it; I'm still torn because I live in town and generally outdoor cats don't last long. But we bought a small bag of food and the boys can feed and pet it as long as it's around. Before we got the food, Nate gave it milk, leftover chickern and boiled eggs. He said it gobbled the dry food right down. I guess food is food to him.

How sweet of your boys to think of the kitten. Most kids that age see strays as a bother.
We get kittens and cats wandering by alot. People tend to bring them in the cemetery and drop them. Doesn't matter what time of year either. So we keep a large bag of dry food in the garage. I can't see them go hungry or cold. We have a plastic bin with old pillows on our front porch in the winter for any strays. They don't stay long once they see how many squirrels and birds there.

The weather here is so nice. I am enjoying the 60's for as long as I can. Hung clothes on the line to dry instead of the dryer. Our leaves haven't really turned yet either. I'm thinking that the 8 days of rain NJ and surrounding area got might have something to do with it.

Not much new here. I am trying to figure out what holiday crafts I can do this year. I like to do ornaments for the older kids for their trees and this year I'm stuck on what to do. Any ideas?
Well time to do breakfast dishes.
Have a great day.

Nope, crafts aren''t my thing. We're having Indian summer here. Love it. We have cats come and go, but this one is not ferral and meows for atttention. Besides, red cats are so danggone friendly and pretty, IMO.

Don fell off the bed and couldn't get up. Called medics to pick him up again. Nursing home has five men ahead of him, plus those coming from hospital get priority.

Can't decide if I want to run errands or play here. Tomorrow's suppose to be warmer, but I did forget drain cleaner last evening when we went to Wal-mart. Our shower drain is slow; 15-year-old flooded bathroom yesterday.

So sorry to hear that Don fell again. I will continue to pray for him.
Seems I am always forgetting something at the store lately. Is that a sign of my age?
The sun is so beautiful today and it suppose to stay this way all week. I think tomorrow I will hang the winter comforter out on the line to air.
Talk with you soon.
Take care and God Bless

I have one advice for you: make a list. I have one at home and one at work. Can't do without them!

So many times I forget to write something on the list.
One of my big peeves is when someone uses the last of something and they don't tell me we needed it until after I have been out shopping.
I'm going to put a pad in the pantry and when they take the last can of box of whatever they can write it on a list.
How is everyone today?
It's time to ask the family what special dishes they want for Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone has at least one favorite and I try to make it for them.
Have a great morning. Talk with you later.

I have the same problem, forgeting to write something that I need on the list, but the one that really makes my ears smoke is making the list and then I forget it altogether.

We did not hear from Keep since her move. Hope she is OK.
This morning my Bible reading brought me to Mat 11:12 "From the days of Johnthe Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it. " This christianity can not be a religion of luke-warmness. There has to be a forceful response on our part, forcefully to seek His will, do His will, lay hold of promises. Forcefully following Him.
OK, back to work. My coffee is cold now.
Have a blessed day, everyone.

Thank you for the prayers and I will be praying for the babies and everyone who cares for them also.
Our leaves haven't really started to change yet. It has been too warm I think. Today it is near 70. I guess we need one good hard frost. It seems strange to be getting ready for Thanksgiving and the leaves are still on the trees.
Have a great day.
God Bless

I have been sprucing up the yard. I planted 7 trees that I got free from the Arbor Society. I decided to name them. My mother suggested that I name them after the Seven Dwarfs. :D But I forgot all their names. So did she. Let's see . . .

Doc
:D Melvin :D just kidding!!
We planted trees and named them after all of our kids. We need to replace a few(no not the kids). Winters here can be rough on young trees and we lost 3.
I hope your day is a great one.
God Bless
