I'm sorry a friend stopped by and we went to eat. Then she wanted to drive around and look at houses. she has a new car (or it's new to her) (she's the one who had the stroke that I told you about earlier) I didn't mean to wonder off from you guys like that.. an out of town friend called also and we talked for a little while. and I had one avon customer to satisfy. lol... no rest for connie I guess. I still think you guys are wonderful. Nope dave you said noting wrong.

absolutely NOT!! i worked nights on sat and then back to work at 7:30 am sunday morning... I plan on cleaning house tomorrow and delivering avon books to some unsuspecting future customers. lol. Dinner was nice. It was nice to get out and eat with a friend..

This is sounds good to me...you had face to face friendly fellowship, good change from work and the internet for you...

it was nice, but she is so lonely and somehow the stroke prevents her from understanding that i cannot give her both my days off. she wants me to spend them with her house hunting and my house is a reck.. i asked her once when she made a request liek that if we could compromise and she could help me clean house and then we could go but the act of cleaning my house was too stressful for her so I had to tell her no. i work so hard during the week and i get so tired that my two days off are all about laundry and doing the stuff i couldn't' do earlier. I love her to pieces but she will consume all of my time if i let her and her she doesn't correct her children (another problem for me). she has a 22 year old and a 4 year old. the 22 year old causes drama on a daily basis and the 4 year old continuously disrupted everything that wasn't about her all evening long. I heard, I don't like you, I want to go home, I'm gonna beet you up, mom, lets take her home.. all evening long. sorry I'm so mean but I don't know how much of that I can take. my friend does nothing at all to correct the child. she just sits there and ignores her. basically she is reaching out to me because her life is a mess... she doesn't realize that right now mine is too. I'm not sure what to do.

Wow Connie that is a lot to handle with your full plate!

I would certainly set limits as to how you help and when (like when she is alone with no kids in tow).

There is no need for you to subject yourself to such nonsense

She will have to understand that you have needs too, and you are strapped for time an energy....and that you prefer meeting alone.

Praying for your direction and grace in this...I am sure it won't be easy given her circumstances.

And you are NOT being mean
Though it isn't a pleasant thing to do....we all need to set limits for our own mental and physical health or we won't be able to help anyone

I had to make a surprise trip to the garage today; my windshield washer suddenly ceased working.
Bravely I uncovered the cover on the hood to expose the line and saw the connection just broke off (deteriorated from freezing?)
So I drove over to have them check it and they will order a new valve attachment.
Praying that will do the trick, otherwise we must replace the whole unit which will cost a pretty penny.
May the Lord's will be done as to the labor and timing of the repair; they will call in a day or so when the part comes in.
I normally get nervous (or annoyed) with unexpected situations like car repairs, but managed to handle it gracefully today
Even with that unplanned event, it was a productive day all around, though I am tired now from a restless/short night's sleep.
