Dave, I'm not sure what you mean by "book-marking" our log-on. How can this help if the network shuts down? I have already done as you suggested but still don't understand. If the forum is "down" then we need to email one another and find another place to gather. My email is yvie777@yahoo.com ; add that to your contacts and give me yours.....any takers?

Whaddupppp :D

Hi everyone.... Here I am again  :praise:

What all happened ? ...
There was nothing, that was straightforward and plain-sailing

Maybe I should just settle for the 'outcome'
and not retread those steps getting here

There were tests and movement around that very large hospital
for the first, 3.5 hours...
I was SECOND in the queue for surgery having arrived @7.20am
and, I didn't go to surgery until @ 10.50am

The chat I had with the anaesthetist prior to the op
commited me to local anaesthetics 'epidural' [via spine]
The anaesthetist agreed this to be the best ~in the circumstances
For, in this way, the patient would be alert and ABLE
to announce my sensing something 'wasn't -right'
I found it very painless.... AND if anything could be a downside
it would-be the time, it takes for the anaesthesia to wear off

Having fasted, I was full of wind and only 'heard' it escaping
[flatulence, completely undetectable in any other way]
and, by no means, 'preventable'

It took more than five hours before I could get up on my feet
and my sphincter had 'locked-shut' [as Mary told you]

The staff, said I would be detained overnight
_or, until I could regain control of my water-works....and LET GO
THAT! was a so and so

By the early hours of this morning though _it was, again working, just fine

I had an intolerance of the Air-Conditioning within that surgical ward
and while staff did their best to alleviate symptoms
I was glad to get outside of the building
for the fresh air [very regularly]both, during the night and next morining

I am, completely overjoyed and grateful
to have come-through this... I didn't sleep much last night!!

Mary met me at the main entrance this morning
and we used our Golden-Oldies bus passes, to get home
[The anaesthetic, had long, passed out of my system]

My original hernia repair was by laparoscopy, however this one
was carried out, through a 3 inch incision, that, was stapled-closed
Arrangements have been made for a district nurse to call at our home
and, to remove the staples with some clippers that I have been given

I am on antibiotics for a week and have a supply of two types of painkillers
I know 'already', that I will been handing them in to the local chemist UNUSED
Truthfully, my body doesn't know it has been 'cut-open'
:praise:

Anyway... Dave is 'back' \o/
Big hugs [on sight] for Mary..... awwww She is such a sweetie

Following last-night's, restlessness /breathlessness
I may have a nap soon... but will begin revving-up to-speed SOON

your Bro'

dave

As I submitted the above post we have hail with thunder and lightning :D

Thank you Connie

Well yes I suppose it was 'funny' [looking-back]
and thinking-on upon that matter, the consultant surgeon may have had it inserted
to fill my abdomen up for the procedure [?]
Anyways, it didn't seem to move within-me /or, even belong to me, if, you know what I mean
~There was no 'perfume', just the noise [from below me] :)

I took a pre-emptory 'dose' of painkiller last night [before bed]
having tugged that area sitting down earlier, but feel no cause
to take them regularly [without reason/need] just because I have them here

So far so-good

Hope you are enjoying your day... How are things in your neck of the woods ?

Thanks for asking about "my neck of the woods" ... :) things are okay I suppose. I feel somewhat overwhelmed. House has gone from mildly messy to disastrous. I volunteered for something this morning that I wish I wouldn't have. I work tonight and then tomorrow morning. still cooking the bath-water lol. bother bother... Im praying for a reprieve. but I am warm and fed so all is probably just as it should be. With the changes on the work front I'm thinking of finding a small business venture for my golden years. Not too many companies want to invest in a middle aged woman for any upward motion. AND I AM AGING. so, I've been thinking of finding a small franchise or maybe even a kiosk in a mall that I could do by myself with maybe the help of one part time employee. :) the kicker is that I don't have a lot of liquid cash and that is usually a requirement.

Now, surely you've learned to say , "No." By now. hehehe I had to relearn it myself. Now I make it a rule to never agree to anything on the spot. I tell them I have to check, or that I will check and see if I can... or if I'm pretty sure I really shouldn't volunteer I tell them I don't think I will be able to help "this time".... But, "No. I can't." is as good as it gets. :)

There are only, just so many, 'active hours' in a day
There also has to be a time for contemplation and learning each day's lessons [?]

Ahhhhhh.... that infamous 'Mr Cash'
causes, an amazing amount of earthly stress and despondency

I got a letter this morning, it tells me that I am having
almost one-tenth of my weekly income deducted as of this date
and, for the next fifteen months to settle an "overpayment" of almost $1k

What ? I'm stunned, as to what [?] 'that' could be about
I will have to make some phone calls 'Monday' to learn the worst
I wish you always the very best of His blessings

That is good dave to use the pain meds as needed...
Your body should get a needed rest now that the tear is repaired...

Shirley Sis' :hug:zzzz
I won't be given 'more-to-do', than I can cope with
It is, all, in His hands
Two Weeks, I must avoid 'heavy activities'
but, that doesn't mean I must sit around 'rusting-up' [either ;)]

I will get 'there' ~where I am going..?.. one step at a time
Enjoy the weekend  I AM :D

I am heading off to Church and dinner out after
Have a restful evening Dave

BBL

Thank you Gail, I hope your Church visit and Dinner were 'wonderfully completing'

from Mary and I

Glad to hear that your surgery was successful, Bro. Dave;
and that you are feeling better.

God bless.

Thank you Faith Sis'
"feeling like new again " ROFLOL
I was 'born again' already !!!! or, hadn't you heard ? :D
Please enjoy the remainder of your Weekend
May I have your email -addy please ?
