nice to hear from you mary... praying for Daves health.
Have you tried tucking a cough drop in your cheek next to your gum line?
It lasts longer, and coats your throat just enough to soothe the tickle as it melts with your saliva.
At least it helps me when my asthma flares...hope it will help you
That is too funny...we even use the same brand and flavorGreat idea - the same works for me in peak allergy season. I use Halls Cherry Menthol-Eucalyptus. They also make a honey flavor that is very popular.
Regardless - Brother Dave - you are still in my prayers, and I will pray that you get good rest.
I was just thinking about our two little dogs who are our constant companions. They must be near one or both of us at all times when we are home, so they also sleep in our bed with us. Going to bed here with sneezing and coughing makes for an interesting night since both of our dogs have to thoroughly investigate any abnormal sound that either one of us makes. I'm talking about close investigation with noses all the way up to our mouths that made the noise.
And just think - some people think we treat our dogs like kids.
We DO treat our dogs like kids
In our house no dogs are allowed in bed, so she stays on her 'bed' (a crocheted blanket folded up) next to ours.
But, yes, she will come into a room to see what the problem is, if we sneeze, cough, or I need to do an asthma treatment.
We feel so protected and cared for

It helps at night too...tucked away, it lasts most of the night.
God bless you, Tom...and Dave

Thank you Gail Sis'
I have used EXTRA MINTS,
to provide the saliva in a dry mouth and throat [just, as you have described]
Also, last night I used Kilkoff Lozenges...
but, I have found, that the sweeter the item used, the greater the cough becomes
We do have HALL's Honey and Lemon /Cherry Menthol 'sweets' here too!
Maybe I will purchase some and give them 'a go'
