Well here I am, back home, at least, for the moment. My memory fails me at times, but fortunately, my wife of nearly 40 years is a faithful companion and she supplements my memory as needed. Between the Lord and her, how can I fail?

Sorry to hear of your diffculties, my friend, Dave. I am keeping you in my prayers.

My wife was on Prednizone daily for more than 20 years for severely chronic asthma. Last year, she began the weaning process and took her last pill in October. We do serve a very good God, don't we? Give God the glory always! Give thanks to Him in all things!

Hello Bro' John

Welcome Home Bro'

The 'thing' about memory is, that good memories continue to be made
and, bad memories, easily get lost

My prescription for Prednisolone, is a short -term 'heavy' one-week 'blast'
Should I have needed, to take it for two or three weeks, then I too
would need to take the 'weaning process'

We do serve a very good God, don't we?

Yes John Bro'
He has been very merciful to me
I know that He loves His children, more than they deserve
and, that His purpose is served and fulfilled
despite our human weaknesses
:amen:

your Bro'

Thanks for the welcome! My wife has in the past some rather severe health problems, but these days with the good Lord's help she is usually in better condition than I am.

And then when we are seemingly at our weakest isn't that when His strength will be more apparent in us and to us?

And neither let us wander off requiring Him to have to pursue us, as He most certainly would!

 Bro' John
The shepherd would recover all lost sheep

However, He wouldn't need-to "chase after us" [would He ?]
With the Holy Spirit [inside us] we will never, be without Him
Wherever we choose to go ?

For, wherever we go
we will be, just exactly 'where', we were always intended to be

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend ~ especially all the GE Moms

Hubby is taking me to dinner after Church, and my son will visit tomorrow.
My daughter is 'child free' and enjoying her own time with a friend:)

Be blessed

I slept late today...got up about 7am instead of 4 am. Got groceries early and picked up a variety of ready made goodies so we will not be cooking over the weekend.

We had a fun lunch out...both ordered something new...I have been sticking to eating way less this week and I think my "diet" is working. I have let myself be hungry at times...just to get used to eating less...now less is more filling and I feel a lot better.

1 cup of this was my real splurge for the week, I am not going to never eat the higher fat foods...just once in a while:thumbsup:: LOADED BAKED POTATO SOUP

I also had this: SANTA FE CHICKEN SALAD, but could only eat 1/2...the soup was very filling and a treat for me.

I will finish the salad tonight.

This is the restaurant chain we like in our area. Chili's Grill & Bar Restaurant

Sounds yummy!

Tonight I splurged on salad, fried haddock, and sweet potato fries :yum:

Like you, I have been watching my foods with just occasional treats, but I also started cutting my portions a bit more, and that is working for me was well

It helps we have gotten good walks in daily, and I have been doing toning exercises 3 X week.

Relax and enjoy

 ..... oh yes, the desire to assimilate nutrients :D is systemically autonomic

The throat isn't too bad today
but that tickly 'dry' cough, is making sure that I know it isn't 'gone' anywhere

oh well I still have four days 'supply', of antibiotics
I hope the cough responds to it

I'm glad your diet is working.... :) I've been eating a lot of tuna lately. I just love a simple little tuna salad on crackers. Tuna, onion and mayo... that's it... and crackers... topped off with an orange or a grapefruit. :) boiled potatoes this morning for breakfast. (and coffee):)
