I was very-likely 'waiting',
for the relevant words, to form a 'useful-opinion'


I have 'learned' to regret many a hasty word, in past years
and indeed some, that I wrote just a few days ago, appear
to have been 'used against-me'
So, that too, has cautioned me
re: 'speaking-out' the very first words that enter my head
not, without first ensuring
there will be no misunderstanding [re: 'my meaning']

We had to change our plans yesterday and will have to delay our trip to the Wildlife Refuge. My 91 year old mother was hurting under her arm and through her shoulder, and she was worried that it was her heart. It was a great day yesterday when we found out her heart is perfect. It turns out that she overdid it in her garden. I hope to have similar problems when I'm 91.

This and other things are simply more reasons to give thanks. The buffalo and elk will wait for us. Those who are in need will be in my prayers.

I am off to get a walk in early....
There is a high wind warning is out (and we have a lot of trees)....also trying to beat the black flies which are swarming and will be biting by next week.

How wonderful to be enjoying your mom...still in her senior years...we are not a long lived family.

Good morning

CF seems to be having some hiccups today; I had problems posting earlier too (Dave is having the worst of it)

I slept in and just had breakfast; will shower, head out for a walk, then do a few light chores before Church and dinner out this evening.

We are going "down the hill" today, that means out of town for us, to shop a bit and eat lunch out.
I had an active day yesterday...even mowed the back yard...wow!!!! Tomorrow I hope to mow the front yard.

So far I can post here, although I did have something strange end up in one of my posts last week...don't know how it got in there, but I could delete it.

I've seen you mention back flies several times, and I've always been curious. I don't think that we have them here, and I really don't know anything about them. The way you talk about them indicates they might be in swarms and really irritate people. Here, when one mentions flies - they are talking about the common house fly or maybe a horse fly if you live near the country. Can you satisfy my curiosity and tell me a little bit about them. I have a Texas sized fly swatter that I use to hunt down flies that get in the house. So far, I have a 100% kill rate. In other words - I don't even like the flies here.

These are tiny little gnats that come out when the trees leaf out, through May 31.
Then the adults die off , the immatures go into dormancy until next year,or the mosquitoes eat them.
They first swarm in clouds, then after a week or so they start to bite; flying in your eyes, nose and ears, and crawling in and up any opening in your clothing.
They draw blood and leave itchy welts; some people have allergic reactions to them.
They are unhalted by bug spray, when in full bite you must don bug nets and tuck in every piece of clothing pants on up if you go outside.
They are a pain!

When they leave the skeeters come out with their diseases, along with ticks and deer flies, but at least you can spray down to protect yourself form them.

I don't like flies of any kind, and especially in my house.
If I can't get them with a swatter, I use hair spray to stop them from flying; it works good for hornets if one gets in

Thankfully they stay OUTSIDE and are short lived!
