Good morning
I only slept from 3-7am (restless) :o but it is a beautiful start to the day and I am heading out for my walk (showers coming in this afternoon).

Hello all... Seems like i have little time these days... Spring is here and there is grass to be cut and chores to be done. work to be worked and such. financially I seem to be fine so all those prayers worked... the avon admin job seems to be just what the doctor ordered, except it keeps me busy... it also has potential to supply a social outlet (which is needed).. I think my friend mary feels hurt by me. I'm really sorry about that. I just cannot do any more than I can do. She wanted me to stick around and visit the other night and I was just too tired. it was 9:30 pm. i had just dropped some boxes off at her house and passed her on her way home. I did not want to wait around for her to get her crying 4 year old to bed and then visit with her. I just went home. I know she is frightened. she thinks that since I have been single for so long I have it all figured out... lol. I don't. I'm the one with no hot water and a $4000 car repair bill to pay off. I can be her friend but not her hero. lol

I have friends that think this also. How wrong they are! Bless your heart for being as tolerant and as helpful to her as you have been. I guess this is just my way of telling you that you are not alone. And if you do ever get it 'all figured out', please share with me.

yes i am at peace. and loving every minute of it. this morning was rough for some unknown reason. I was have a hard time finding something positive to think about. I tried to lay down for a nap and my mind became flooded with unpleasantries. I prayed and asked for God to fill it with something else... I'm not in a state of joy so to speak, but I am at peace. my finances are much much better. the avon thing is just enough to help. I get an extra 100 in my bank account every week. that seems to be just enough to keep me above my self imposed worry line. lol.. I asked for some time off from work and although they made it their business to make me feel guilty about inconveniencing them because now they (one of my coworkers who just came off of a 10 day vaca) cannot take a day off that she wanted, I am still looking forward to my time away from walgreens. I only took three days... that was supposed to mean that I only had to work two days that week. however, she tried to give me three days vaca and then work me four... I had to say no no... I get two days off every week anyway.. the three is my vaca time. woooo dodged that bullet. lol noting like getting charged for three days and only taking one. lol

at all the mysterious ways that our Lord may use [us] to bring about His purpose

Connie Sis', you are an 'example', of someone swimming strongly
[regardless your own-impression of, just what that is]

Your friend's self-confidence has doubtless taken 'hard-knocks'
and therefore sees you as 'head and shoulders' taller

Your friend NEEDS to do some of her 'stuff' alone
~so she can see she is also capable of coping
and, maybe you could help
by suggesting STUFF she can get on with ~while you go, and leave her to it

Yes, it is important
that she can see, that 'strength' through adversity, is possible
But, when she finds herself, 'more-capable' than she believed herself to be
that! is when, she will begin to recover more confidence herself

Rest-assured, that you are.... exactly where you are meant to be
filling a niche [for you] that nobody else can fill

my friend dropped by and picked up some boxes I had collected for her. She is getting ready to move. she said her new friend is taking her to a gathering of other stroke victims tonight. So that will be fun for her and encouraging I hope. Her brother is looking for a house for her too. I feel good about the small bits of advice I did give her but too much is too much. I do want to thank EVERYONE for their prayers in this matter. God does work his will through his people and it is quite beautiful when you can see it.

We had to change our plans yesterday and will have to delay our trip to the Wildlife Refuge. My 91 year old mother was hurting under her arm and through her shoulder, and she was worried that it was her heart. It was a great day yesterday when we found out her heart is perfect. It turns out that she overdid it in her garden. I hope to have similar problems when I'm 91.

This and other things are simply more reasons to give thanks. The buffalo and elk will wait for us. Those who are in need will be in my prayers.

I'm catching up with posts and notice that things appear to be going well for most. I give thanks for that. Tomorrow is Friday, so one more day to the weekend. Have a great weekend.
