It is a nice sunny day and warm as long as the sun stays out. There is a lot of cloud as well. Watched my youngest sons men's league soccer team. They won started out 5 men down and ended up playing a man short the whole time. They were happy with the 2 to 1 victory. Also did a bunch of running around, dressmaker, library, post office, grocer etc. Now that I am home and have had my lunch break it is back to work on the settling of this place. lol. Jan

My wife and I are having a ball watching two new puppies and their antics. We lost both of our older dogs just months ago - one 17 years old and one 18 years old, so we're learning all over again. I'll just say it's fun, and they're working on training their humans.

How exciting Magnum. We lost our two dogs as well. One in 2007 Dec at 15 and another in April at age 12. We have decided at this time not to get any new dogs but i sure do miss them. At the moment we have so many other responsibilities that bringing a puppy into the mix would be unfair to it. Enjoy your time with the dear puppies.

Enjoy your puppies! Puppies are so cute and just like babies are so fun to be around. No church for me today. I have picked up a bug and have a sore throat. I don't want to give it to anyone else so I am staying home. When you tell someone you don't feel well they automatically think you have H1N1. NO, I don't feel that bad and don't have flu symptoms.
Jan, I hope you can get things taken care of and life can get back to normal for you.

My wife and I had the same thoughts after our last elderly dog passed away, but we had an empty spot in our lives. They give us more than we give them, and they make us happy. They give us unconditional love 24/7. The only other source of greater love is from GOD.

We walked into a pet shop that never has dogs, and there they were:

It was almost like we were supposed to get them.

I'll be praying that you get to feeling better. I can't believe that both of these puppies already sleep all night. I think it has something to do with them having playmates and not ever being alone. Watching their antics at play is a riot, and maybe this also has something to do with them sleeping all night.

Besides, puppies are supposed to be good for the health of their humans. ;)

We have a house full of animals...all of which came from someone else! Our 8 year old [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]z Zu, Chewie, came from my mother-in-law three years ago, when she had to go into a nursing home. He's a joy to us; and, the nursing home allows him to visit one-two nights a week. So, that works out all around.

We also have a little "cuddle kitty" of a cat, that came from our grandson. It seems his neighbor had kittens, and he wanted one. But, his mother is allergic to cats, so...grandpa and grandma have his "Lucy." (That's what he named her. She and Chewie are the best of friends, and play together all the time. They've also picked up each other habits!

Then there's a turtle, and two fish, also from our grandson...

It's a good thing we're animal lovers!

We don't have any cats or other pets, but two puppies are more than enough. I find it ironic that you have a Shih Tzu named Chewie. That's what they called our little Shih Tzu at the pet store before we brought him home. He sure is a lovable little guy and does resemble Chewie in Star Wars. His playmate we got at the same time, a Bichon, is also lovable, and it's a riot watching them play. Chase is one of their favorite games, and they run until they're worn out. For another irony, we named the Bichon Lucy.

Most of all, both of them love to cuddle and be petted. I honestly believe what they say about pets being good for our health.

We're waiting for our newest grandson, who seems to be in no hurry to be born! Our middle daughter is either just past due; or, a week or more past due, depending on which date the doctor gave her is correct. In either event, she has a big baby boy coming, and is eager to "change his address."

Benton will be her first child, and our eight grandchild.

Congratulations!

I'll be praying about the health of mother and baby. I just have 3 grandsons and I vividly remember the joyous events.
