Hello Dave and All,

It's been some time since I've been active here. I've been ill and only able to do part of what I once did. In the past, I had no problems at all with Christian Forums.

I've only had a couple of unable to connect and database error messages since I came back. Once connected, I haven't had any problems at all, but that's only several hours of experience. The problems I'm having could be related to the servers used in getting here. I have read that many Christian sites are having problems simply because of being Christians.

Regardless, we'll find ways of communicating.

Thanks for the welcome. It's really a welcome back. Things have really changed here, and I really like all the new software and things to do. Older folks can learn new tricks.

I honestly think this is true. It's my personal opinion that we may be nearing the End Days of this Age of Grace. Statistically, Christians are having a harder time all over the world right now, and this is getting worse. GOD'S WORD foretold this, and GOD didn't promise us an easy time in this short life. Simply, I think that Christians are hampering the devil's style and slowing him down, so we aren't very popular with the world.

I think it would be a worse problem if we were popular with the world because that would mean we are conforming to the world.


Romans 8:16-23 ASV 16 The Spirit himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are children of God: 17 and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified with him. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us-ward. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but by reason of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. 23 And not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for our adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.



Ephesians 3:14-19 NASB 14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

I only hope we ARE hampering the devil's style..it's hard to know whether one is truly being salt and light or whether one's hiding one's light under a bushel or not...especially when one sees (well, in my case at least), how far short one falls . Still, gotta keep occupying, persevering and enduring to the End, as God gives us grace.

Hello everyone...I do enjoy the fellowship here...

I have a very quiet life...not a lot to share, but I did enjoy speaking to two older women at the grocery store yesterday...I live in a town that has a high percentage of senior citizens...they look so vulnerable to me...sort of just floating around the store, some barely able to push their carts. I used to visit nursing homes in my healthier days.

Well I shall only say hi and then it is off too bed. I am still jet lagged and my cold has reasserted itself a bit since coming home. I think the dampness and dustiness affects me. I need a marble house and a sunny climate. ha ha. It has also been a bit stressful with my purse mysteriously going astray. it has finally been discovered in a very unlikely place at home but safe. I just feel that I am not firing on all cylindars so want to head off to bed now at 10 pm and get a good nights sleep without worry and stress. Nighty night. Jan

Well dave it is good to see the old site back up but is it running? This is a test post to see how things go. The appearance is somewhat altered so maybe some files have been lost. I hope it all gets sorted out completely as I have missed being here. Jan

I thought it was just me! Now I feel better. I had my operation and the dr said all went well. I made the appt. months ago and had not realized it would be during holy week. It was to late to change it so I missed all the services but hopefully I can be at the Easter services. I hope you all are having a "Good Friday".
