  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We have remembrance day on November 11 so the services here in Canada were yesterday. It is a national holiday. I usually go but ended up watching it on TV as the rain was so heavy. Youngest son goes faithfully every year. He is 21

Good luck, hope your school gets the million first! Is there a prize for the winning school, apart from soreness of many people!?

I actually think it is just Bragging RIghts not sure. Anyway if we are faithful to work out we are the winners anyway. I even was back at it today only this time I did rowing too. Jan

Hi everyone. It was supposed to rain hard today but so far it is just damp from overnight rain I assume and quite nice. I walked to a local elementary school to cast my civic vote for council and school board reps. The mayor's job was uncontested.

I received a letter from my consultant yesterday

He refers to his examination of my recent 'recorded, ultrasound-scans'

He says, I have "a blocked artery" in my "right-thigh"

But, I knew of this, back in Bristol some 18 months ago [or more]
because, at first, 'grafts' had been discussed, and rejected
followed later, by consideration being given
to 'amputation' of my right leg, delayed for a year
"see how it goes"

He also mentioned some "narrowing of an artery" in my "left thigh"
which has already been opened up by angioplasty
more than nine years ago, in Bristol

He mentioned an appointment 'being made'
for me to go into hospital for an angiogram, in the very near future
and that he has informed my GP

No mention was made of my right carotid artery
in which, the operator found calcification
but, this does not raise 'concern' in me
for I am happy to have, one day at a time

Thank you Jan, but I am happy and have peace
because my outcome is in His hands and His will, for me

I have fought hard, several times today to regain a connection
since my first post [this morning]
and when I eventually 'made-it'... I found myself STILL 'signed-in'
this, is truly strange, where, in past days, I have complained-of
being signed-out before I can post my message....
often, having to rewrite them only to lose, some of them, also

May God Bless and support you and your's dear Sister

Father, I
I praise you for giving me Brothers and Sisters
I thank you for teaching me
that You are indeed supreme in all things
and that my faith in you, and your word
enables me in all that I need to accomplish
I understand, that, all worldly things pass
and that thou art ever there
You have, furnished a table in my sight
and enabled me to clothe myself in thy armour
Use me, wherever and however thou willst
for, I will go wherever you lead me
in the sure and certain knowledge that you are with me
I will eat of my Daily Bread and praise you for my deliverance
this, your world, without end
amen

Thank you all for your prayers

your Bro'
