Thanks Ariel yes I think a few more blood tests are in order but everything seems ok BP wise. That could have been part of the problem though as he has been put on a diuretic for BP and with the lack of fluid intake the problem of dehydration would hit him quickerand harder. Anyway the blood sugar and cholesterol levels might need to be done again. He has gone to work today, I am the one feeling a bit punk but I think it is just nerves and disrupted sleep. I am heading to work though. I shall commune more later. Ta ta. Jan

Jan, I sympathize. That feeling of being "wrung out" after dealing with something like can take a while to recover from. I hope you are feeling more rested now. I am praying for you and your family.

I've got to do that, too. Probably I need to take my teens with me. They are better at getting shots than I am...maybe if we make it a family thing it won't bother me as much. Yes, I draw strength from my teens! LOL!

I made the decision to get the flu shot since I have had several episodes of chronic bronchial asthma. The last one started from Thanksgiving day with family were family memebers were said to be over the darn thing (virus). I did attend the dinner and also did catch the virus which started the asthma which lasted for four months and turned out to be an expensive little virus in more ways than one.

Here is a good question that some of us are faced with. What should a person do when invited to a family event over the Holidays, if they feel someone attending the dinner party is contagious?

I've struggled with this, too. One Thanksgiving my guests brought the flu bug Jan was talking about, the nasty stomach one--which, apparently, is not the flu the shot protects against.

It was a doleful Thanksgiving. Everyone got sick except me. I stayed on my garlic supplements and apparently that protected me.

There is a commercial on TV this evening that has my attention. It is a food commercial. The commercial is for Olive Garden Restaurant and the featured dish is Chicken Florentine. I have never eaten this dish...has anyone else?

It looks yummo on the tv.

I may have, I'm not sure. I don't eat at Olive Garden that much.

First, continually... ensure your own Immune system is virile/Strong...; iow a resistant host.

Next, don't base decisions on feelings, but work from facts... That person is contagious?
from, and transmitting, what kind of Bacterial?? microbe.

Once the contagious person has (via both C&S = culture & sensitivity Tests) been correctly-diagnosed,
they can be helped via (AB = Antibiotic)-treatment.

warning - because the General-public demanded indescriminate reliance on Antibiotics in the past, with MD's happy to comply, the Bacteria & Virii have since successfully mutated... and 'Superbugs' continue outsmarting man's hindsight.
Another excellent reason for doing things GOD's way...

Indeed, I am, and to such a wonderfully Sunny day, also
I went to my dentists appointment, this morning
my dentist inserted the NEW denture plates with WAX TEETH
and told me they were such a good fit
that I need not attend the next-appointment
instead, when they are ready
"one of the girl's will bring-them across, to your home"


From there Mary and I, attended 'our' Ceramics Class
run, under the auspices of Salford College
where I put some more 'touches'
to, my angel plaque...
When TIME 'ran-out'
It needed just a little more attention to the FACE
will now, have to wait until next week
when I will then leave to dry
for it's FIRST BAKE in the oven
and, a week or so later, will paint-on
the 'glazes' that will in its second-firing
'finish' it
whereafter I will show you a pic or two of it here

Afterwards, we [Mary and I] went shopping for paint,
but, the shops we-visited, did not supply makes and colours we require
so, we have put off the purchase until tomorrow
when, we will visit a B & Q store [about a mile away]
where, I know we can obtain these items, for-certain

Yes, I [we] had a good day today

Yes, I had a good day.

Yesterday evening was good, too. My husband celebrated his birthday. I made lasagne, a salad and garlic bread, and for dessert an Austrian apple cake. It was all so good!

Today I've spent a lot of time writing. I also tried to help straighten out a mess in the 30+ forum. Sigh. I don't think I can do anything, but I tried.

It was clear and sunny today. A lovely day! I walked out with my dog, and enjoyed my backyard. The fish are doing quite well! They had LOTS of babies this summer. Who knows how many!

And now I have to run. My youngest is playing in a concert at school tonight. So now I'm off to hear some lovely music!

Spring you are too cute nice costume If you had come to my house I would have given you candy!!! we live alittle off the beaten track so we had 4 kids come all of which happen tobe our grandkids....Oh well I guess I'll just have to eat all that candy.Good thing I got the kind I like!!

Usually I am at our church in the snack bar dishing out nachos and hot dogs pizza chili etc. We have Canyon Fest. (our churh is right near Capilano Canyon and is called Canyon heights) Anyway it is a Jesus carnival mini outreach with lots of food games (like ring toss dart throw and many more) balloons music and fun. I was in too much pain to go and I am staying home today. Think it may be a flu or some kind of infections as my temp was up but see the doctor later today to check. Jan
