Please pray for me...I am hit with three critical crisis this morning. Most difficult is, my mother is just hanging on to life at this moment in critical care unite in a hospital in Kansas City.

I am turning on the ignore button to IGNORE annie and tony. If this leaves me out of the loop in some conversations...for now ....this has to be.

I asked the Lord to tell me ​

Why my house is such a mess. ​

He asked if I'd been 'computering', ​

The smudges off my mouse. ​

I wiped and shined the topside. ​

That really did the trick... ​

I was just admiring my work.... ​

That I got SO way into... ​

LITTLE OLD LADY~

There was a little old lady, who every morning.
stepped onto her front porch, raised her arms to the sky,
and shouted: "PRAISE THE LORD!"
One day an atheist moved into the house next door.
He became irritated at the little old lady.

Please Lord, I have no food and I am starving,
provide for me, oh Lord!
The next morning she stepped out onto her porch
and there were two huge bags of groceries sitting there.
"PRAISE THE LORD!"
she cried out.
"HE HAS PROVIDED GROCERIES FOR ME!"
The atheist neighbor jumped out of the hedges
and shouted:
"THERE IS NO LORD.
I BOUGHT THOSE GROCERIES!!"
The little old lady threw her arms into the air
and shouted:
"PRAISE THE LORD!
HE HAS PROVIDED ME WITH GROCERIES
AND MADE THE DEVIL PAY FOR THEM!

Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever. There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did! And because I did I'm going to celebrate!

Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, the beautiful friendships, and, yes, even the hardships, because they have served to make me stronger.

I will go through this day with my head held high and a happy heart. I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts:


the morning dew,

the sun,


the clouds,

the trees,

the flowers,



the birds.

Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice.
Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll make someone smile. I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know.
Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I'll tell a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much they mean to me.

Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me. I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine.

And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures.

As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know that tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life, ever!

One rainy afternoon I was driving along one of
the main streets of town, taking those extra precautions
necessary when the roads are wet and slick.

Suddenly, my son Matthew spoke up from his relaxed
position in the front seat. "Mom, I'm thinking of something."
This announcement usually meant he had been pondering
some fact for a while and was now ready to expound all
that his seven-year-old mind had discovered. I was eager to hear.

"What are you thinking?" I asked.

"The rain," he began, "is like sin and the windshield
wipers are like God, wiping our sins away."

After the chill bumps raced up my arms I was able to respond.
"That's really good, Matthew."

Then my curiosity broke in. How far would this little
boy take this revelation? So I asked... "Do you notice how
the rain keeps on coming? What does that tell you?"

Matthew didn't hesitate one moment with his answer:
"We keep on sinning, and God just keeps on forgiving us."

I will always remember this whenever I turn my wipers on.
Isn't it comforting to know that God does keep forgiving us?

Anyone else feeling nostalgic here? I found the very first post of the chit chat thread, dated June 21, 2005 and it was made by Keeptrying. Here is the post:

I could not find a topic to just chat in so I opened this one. I'm waiting for the car repair shop to open so I can have the muffler on my truck welded back up. I also need to go to DMV and get a new license but that will have to wait for another day---a good hair day for the picture. LOL I'll have to get my Flowbee out!
I took the dog for a walk this morning and missed the person I was suppose to meet. I think I was a little late and I don't have her phone # so now I feel guilty.
What is everyone else up to today? I do pray it is full of Gods blessings</DIV>
