It is true I LOVE jelly beans.:D I even bought myself some for easter. lol.

It takes me a lot longer than 10 minutes to hoover and dust that is why I LOVE the poem.

Good news about my doggie, the cells they tested from the mass in her leg are consistent with a lipoma which is a benign fatty tumour so sthere is nothing much to do or worry about. We are so happy, she is such a good old dog. Jan:clap:

Ten minutes???? Shucks! We live in the country. We don't hoover; we use shovels! lol

Cheers,

Jim

Shovels? Now there's a thought! Shovels! Of course! That would be the perfect tool for my 16-year-olds room! Hmm. Come to think of it, a rake might come in handy, too....

Jan, I am so glad to hear your doggie is doing okay. You must be so relieved. She must be very special to you.

Lol, it takes me a lot longer than 10 minutes to vacuum and dust, but I just thought that was funny...Wouldn't it be nice if you could get it all done in that time!

Yes, I can see it now. Is it a bird? Is it a plane. It's---SUPER DUSTER! Faster than a leaping frog! More amplified than a teenager's jam box! Here comes SUPER DUSTER to the rescue of every home!

A friend sent me an email with this poem attached I do believe the sentiment is sound:thumbsup:
although I am not advocating tolerating filth forever. :help: lol. Jan

Life is short. Enjoy it!
Dust if you must,
but wouldn't it be better to
paint a picture or write a letter,
bake a cake
or
plant a seed,
ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there's not much time

with rivers to swim and mountains to climb,

music to hear and books to read,
friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world's out

there with the sun in your eyes,

the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow,
a shower of rain.
This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,

old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go -- and go you must --
you, yourself will make more dust!

Share this with all the people in your life!
It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Cheers Jan
Thanks, Jan, for sharing this.

Gratefulgrace, I am so pleased to hear about your dog. Cassie, our little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel had a fatty tumour on her leg also. You must be so relieved.

We went to Bristol - the Cribbs Causeway Mall -yesterday to collect Rob's anniversary present - a DAB radio cd player. I think I will let him have it early as he is in a lot of pain at the moment with his back (osteoarthritis). Maybe he will enjoy setting it all up and get some rest.

Flowers are coming on a treat in the greenhouse.

Blessings

Edit--my birthday isn't until the 7th. It seems that we are on Australian time at CF.

Good morning all!

Wow, I'm watching the weather change here in Texas. It's 41 degrees right now, and we may get snow on Saturday. :(

Our trees have already started to set fruit. It would be hard to lose that another year. At least I brought my baby tomatoes, in, as they were planted in pots.

Well...time to go bother my teens, who have the day off. I think I'll suggest Jim's idea. Rakes and shovels for their rooms!

May you all have a blessed Good Friday.

Bonnie my husband says it is all because of GLOBAL WARMING. He is being facetious(sp) of course. Our weather was cloudy and wet with an occaisional sunny break but not that great.
Anyway we still have so much to celebrate on this Resurrection Sunday don't we. Jan

Don't tell anyone, but to-day, the 7th is also my younger daughter's birthday...She even phoned to remind us...lol

Cheers,

Jim

Awww, another April girl. We're special, you know!

I'm tickled that she called to remind you. It reminds me of my son who returned my e-mail and reminded me that he is now 27. As if I didn't know!

Our husbands think alike, Jan! Mine has been going around saying much the same thing.

It snowed here in Texas. With temperatures at 26 degrees for two days, I am sure we lost our fruit. My dear spouse and I try to look at it positively. We find ourselves saying to each other, "Aren't you glad our livelihood doesn't depend on our ability to produce a crop?" I'll tell you, the farmers in West Texas must be the most hardy, resilient optimists in the world. Not only do we get late frosts, but also devastating hail storms. It just rends your heart to see them put in still another crop after losing two or three or even four...
