We all get close to animals, and love them. on a one and one basis, but we have to keep things in perspective. They are animals, we do love them, but we shouldn't be praising them. God made tghem for us
LOL Blueguy
you talk like you are scared of them (one to one basis)
Yes of course God made them too
BUT FOR US TO ENJOY!
I kept a Family pack of German Shepherds
along with the six children of my second marriage
YES! all indoors No animal /human friction
they were all
a part of our family... all trustworthy
they had a few tiffs amongst themselves
that I called halt to
Indeed, my Hogan only ever nipped one-person
the ex's elder brother...
He had arrived the worse for-drink
and was very loud (near shouting)
and FULL of happiness, He came over the doorstep into the hall and made for the lounge door
predicting trouble if HE WENT FIRST I called for him to
let me go-first as I closed the front door
NAH ISS ARIGHT I NOSE THY DOGS
I INT SCARED OF EM and he blew through the door
like a comic making a stage-entrance
WHAM hogan hit him on his pubic bone It was just a nip
with the front teeth
but I just heard the wind escape his lips leaving none for
the scream I called to Hogan to back-off WHICH HE DID
and the then, brother-in-law looked at me with the look that said:
I have been a right prat ant I ? well, with all six dogs then in the room
he is now indoors and he unzipped his trousers to find, the KISS shaped
bruise of Hogans incisors (little flat teeth in between the
canines)
Hogan had missed his vital part, by just an inch
Within a few minutes He was smoothing Hogan and Hogan was wagging his tail
Her brother wasnt a regular visitor but he sobered quickly
I didnt leave my kids 'unattended' with them until they were in their teens
but they all handled them as pups and the dogs were hierarchically-lower in my family-pack
When my ex cleared off prior to the divorce Hogan, had a heart attack
within a couple of weeks She had doted on him and he probably pined for her
despite my continued loving care
I had bought him for-her, as she had always wanted a white one...... Belgarian's White Pearl
His parents were American Show Champions
He 'cost' me £300 with his papers at four months of age
but money at that time was of 'no-concern'
I was earning £600 a week and we had begun buying the house
some eighteen years before that
I phoned HER mobile, and told her that he wouldnt last long
as I had had to carry and support him to his toilet
The vet said he could put him to sleep or, just make him comfortable
which I was happy to go-with because he was hers
and Hogan really wanted her to come home
she arrived an hour later and spent eight hours
cradling his head on her lap before he left us
I got the older lads to open the garden
and I buried him underneath the branches of one of two
small trees
near the pools...
He would lay there as if it were his-place
when I or she, was sat at the pools
Major, one of their son's then stepped up to become top dog
The family still has the two daughters Kylie and Sophie
now eleven and eleven and a half years of age
They werent guard dogs but the neighbourhood KNEW
they were there With burglaries taking place all around
us we, were never once so-affected
Pets are not "JUST ANIMALS"
but often, I admit! through ignorance, pets can, lead a dog's life
Not everybody can have-empathy and understanding for animals
and these people should leave WELL ALONE
HOGAN (left) Major (right)
Sophie (left) Kylie (right)
Hogan after her departure
Max first-born single pup
Sanjay and Kylie
That HOGAN had on occasion (following her departure)
'talked' (quite, not like a dog)
and wormed his way into my lap for comforting
I AM SURE he wanted me to go get her but that was beyond my power
He stayed at my side and would wait at the foot of the staircase for me to return downstairs from the bathroom
Hogan had lost his 'mate' two years previous
to mammary cancer (snap) Lady we called her
aka: Lady Charmaine Kemlex-Katka
her parents:
Kemjohn Lex and Katrina Karenmore (both champions)
I have, had much contact with animals
It isnt HARD to get along
SO LONG AS YOU CARE 'enough' for them
